changing the meme to suit my own purposes
Apr. 13th, 2007 08:41 pmComment, telling me you want me to meme you, and I'll--
1 - Tell you why I friended you. Assuming I can remember :)
2 - Associate you with something. A fandom, a song, a colour, a piece of fruit. SOMETHING.
3 - Tell you something I like about you.
4 - Tell you a memory I have of you, or completely fabricate something.
5 - Associate you with a character/pairing.
6 - Ask something I've always wanted to know about you. (Or else I'll just ask a random question. I reserve that right.)
7 - Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
8 - In return, you must spread this disease in your LJ, or answer the same questions about me in a comment. Or, you know, not. (I'm low-maintenance like that.)
I was askeered to do this meme until danvers insisted, because there are so many lurkers and I'm afraid, see, that someone will comment and I *won't remember who you are*. I'm over it, though, in fact, I would like to INVITE lurkers and various aquaintances, as well as close LJ buddies, to comment with question answers and at the very least I'll comment fic you off something you said in your answers or something, and then I get to know a little more about who you are, so it's win-win!

Tada! Memeity!

Daniel/clothes=OTP!!!
Hee! Although clearly theirs is a relationship fraught with disagreement and woe on all sides. I hope those two crazy kids can stay together this time. (So do my eyeballs.)
*sigh* the internets are thwarting me, and so I shall comment fic based on the icon I can see:
*FLAIL!* Whee! Oh, the fanon theory that Sam started dressing Daniel is A BILLION times better when Teal'c helped too. Teal'c slowly raised an eyebrow, Daniel backed up a step. *cackle*
I so have to remember to point
(And P.S., good call on having Jack not involved in makeover, because seriously, I've been collecting pictures of his wardrobe and, oh...it needs help.)
What are you studying, and what do you want to do with it ultimately?
Right now I'm working on a general psychology undergrad, with the hope that I'll be able to continue on for a masters in child psych. I'm not specifically sure what I want to do with it beyond the 'kids!' but I'm picking up an increasing interest in adolescents (especially girls) and eating disorders, so.... At this point, I've got some abstract dreams of non-clinical counseling, but I suppose that'll be up in the air for another few years or so. Whew, long winded!
So there's the chatty chat. Your meme, ma'am!
1 - I love your rec lists. I can't think of anything I've clicked over to from your journal that I haven't liked, and I generally admire the hell out of people who put links together like that. I had to have the awesome delivered fresh to the flist!
2 - Supernatural, actually. I've never seen the show at all, but I remember reading your rec for Six of One and being so surprised by how strongly you were recommending it to everyone that I caught myself wishing that I had even the slightest clue what the show was about.
3 - Well, see above for the admiring of the rec listing, 'cos seriously, but also I'm consistently blown away that you can write as well as you do across so many pairings. I always give a thumbs up to multi-shipping, but being so good at it...A+.
4 - Heh -- I would have to check which post it was, but I have a very clear recollection of checking my email during a break between classes right around the time that 'Everbody's crazy..' was going up, and reading a comment from you along the lines of: "aaaaaaiiiiiiii!" I made one of those insane 'bwaha-whoops! Um, sorry, I'm not laughing, that was a...*cough* excuse me, little cold..." noises, right in the middle of the (very quiet) computer lab.
5 - I actually totally associate you with Bra'tac, because 'Footsoldiers on Uneven Ground' just rocks that hard. I'm not sure if I ever left feedback for it, because I'm pretty sure I read it before I had manned up to the whole leaving comments thing, but yeah, awesome like an awesome thing.
6 - So, with fingers crossed that your new place works out, what's the first thing you're going to hang on the wall when you get there?
7 - I'm torn, there are a bunch I love SO MUCH, but my favorites are the SG-1 silhouette from Lost City (I think), the Daniel 'everything changes,' and the Beaker icon. (Beaker because 'Beaker' as in Muppet Beaker is my roommate's nickname for me. Awww Beaker!)
oooooh, that's a *great* icon!!!
Date: 2007-04-16 01:56 am (UTC)Full disclosure that I got it from you two and deliberately included the idea, because OMG, so sadly true.
I've been collecting pictures...
*looks hopeful*
I suppose that'll be up in the air for another few years or so.
This is wierd, because I've always been so ambitious, but I've only recently started thinking in concrete terms about where I want to take my training... I suppose I did have to finally point myself in generally the right direction before it clicked.
Me meme stuff.
1. Huh, I'm overdue for a recs post, actually. It's amazing to me that I've found such a groove reccing and that so many other chronic reccers (it's a crutch!) have such different MOs. Very interesting.
2. When you gotta read a lot, just on principle, it is just amazing when something sticks out at you like Six of One did. I also have it on good authority that it's not just my shiny!new!fandom!glee, too; it really is that amazing a story. I do hear that there are an unnatural number of smack-me-around-and-call-me-Susan fantastic authors in that fandom, though.
3. Hee! *blushes* Thankee. That's awesome praise.
4. I try so hard to leave feedback, but sometimes you gotta wallow in the shallow end of the pool. Yes. Oh, I was amused by Sharp Dressed Man, yes I was. (Apologies to any computer lab-ites who had deadlines looming.)
5. Bra'tac! Love that man, love being associated with him. And I'm also loving being so firmly associated with Jaffa stories, for all they don't get the big pairing feedback and I'm not prolific enough as an author to have a lot of people watching this journal for my stories. I actually have a finale tag that's all Teal'c POV that I'm just waiting to post and tweak.
6. It's funny you ask, because the new roommates are devout white-a-tarians. The whole house is white, which is amazingly effective, though I would never do it myself. I'm scheming already to add texture if not color, but in my own room, the first things I will hang are a series of paintings I did that are in bright colors: one spring green, one yellow, one blue tones. Big canvases, I love them.
7. I had a friend who adopted the chicken she'd studied (behaviorally) in highschool AP Biology and named it Beaker. I always thought that was a Great Name. Also, am a scientist, so.
Good lord, that's quite enough from me, I think!
