Hi guys,

I have begun the task of archiving the masterlists of recs over on Dreamwidth. You can find the first updated, tidy (hopefully no repeats!) list here:

Teal'c Fanfic Recommendations: Masterlist featuring meta, self-reccing, boosting of other people's work, het, slash, gen, backstory, and teamy goodness. It's such a pretty list anymore. I remember when you really couldn't find stories with Teal'c in a central role, but those days are no more.


I'm thinking of working the Janet recs next, or maybe Sam/Daniel, but since we started with Teal'c, it seems a good time to make the following PSA:


Public Service Announcement:

This year's IBARW will take place between July 27 through August 2.

The completely optional theme is global. Entries on race and racism from a global perspective, on post-colonialism, on the aftereffects of imperialism, on grassroots movements coming out of the Global South, and etc, are particularly welcome.

Entries in non-English languages are especially appreciated!

Flights of Ingenuity (http://aurora-novarum.dreamwidth.org/48525.html) is my sequel. (The sequel's not really in a cathedral, it's in the Air&Space Museum, but...that's kind of a religion to Jack and Teal'c, heh).

I was a bit confused as to whether you wanted a complete list of Teal'c fic, or a "rec" list. Because...I've got a few with the big guy. But I didn't want to self-pimp and/or overwhelm you.

If you wouldn't mind, comment with all the self-pimping in the world on the actual post so people see it? That way it's organized without seven levels of coding. *g* I always love when people do that. Seriously. I find some great stuff that I missed for whatever reason.

You should be able to comment without a problem since you have a livejournal, but if you would like an invite to start a Dreamwidth handle, I have many many many and I'm happy to send you one. LMK.

But seriously, you don't know what you've wrought. I just finished organizing all my fic over there, and the tag for Teal'c yields 21 fics! I don't know I write him well, but I do love to write him.

I'm so glad you link spammed me over there. That may be one of my favorite parts of the archive recs posts, when people go comment with links. I find awesome ass stories and then it's all recorded together so other people can check them out too. It's just brilliant, thank you.

And I'll probably say the same thing over there so other folk feel free to do the same!
