WIP bookmarks
Nov. 21st, 2005 02:55 pmThey are killing me. Seriously. *head/desk*
But I love them anyway and I bookmark for future reference or to remind myself why I'm not supposed to start reading WIPs.
Anais' Shark Fishing in Colorado series (a five act farce, 4 completed) Hook, Line and.....
The Games Men Play by
dustandroses (@
dustys_fic) Another 4/5 so far, but Gods help me, I started reading and now I'm HOOKED, precious! I just can't resist the p0rn. I'm weak. It's hot. What can I say?
A Dirty Wind by
cofax7. I was waiting for it to be finished, but now it's finished, I'm waiting for it to be tweaked and edited and unified or something and *head/desk*. The only reason I can resist is because omg I probably don't have time to fall into a long story who's only exit is the other side. *head/desk*
bastmoon (Roo)'s slash-> Stargate ->The Simpatico Series. It is tortuous to me that this probably won't be completed, because it is beautiful. It is also crazy amounts of work, yes. But I love, and I am a bit heartbroken, really.
Wordgeeks' The Mind Doesn't Decide series, which I also started reading before I realized that it was a WIP. *whimper*
ETA: YAY for finished WIPS!!!!! Here they are, the lovelies:
And, last but not least: Retrograde by
ltlj. The force is STRONG with this one. Actually, that's the wrong fandom. This is a critically acclaimed (can you *say* that about LJ peeps?) SG-1/SGA crossover... And it is really everything I was promised. Holy carp, what a fantastic story! *enjoys the ride* Erm, whoops! There are spoilers in the comments. Just a warning. But seriously, go read it!
Jane goes darkside: Leaving Time by
janedavitt, J/D, NC-17, S4ish, some violence. It's really deft how she's woven threads of communication and resistance and miscommunication and love and anger and pain and blending into a piece that starts in one place and ends in a completely different setting. Don't be scared of this fic because of it's darkness, it's haunting, and it starts creepy, but more than that it's thought provoking and even the sex has meaning in all of it. Incredible.

Date: 2005-11-23 01:13 am (UTC)Well, you know, I'm hoping it'll be done and posted by Christmas. You could read the rest of the series, if you wanted to... After all, Thunder Follow Me and Meet on the Ledge are pretty large by themselves.
And ADW really needs the edit: I'm cleaning up continuity gaffes and plot problems and thematic stuff. It'll be better, I promise, although without 45 cliffhangers. *g*

Date: 2005-11-23 01:52 am (UTC)But Christmas would be fine, I'm planning to schedule in some time to relax at that point, and after Christmas? I'm graduating (*glee*) so that would be good for me too, because obviously, you're planning around me, right?
I won't miss it, though. Feels like classic literature I'm missing out on at this point. And I don't want to be left oooooouuuuuuutttttt.
I'm fairly certain I've read the other parts of the series already. I think I've plundered your website, though since it was before I started taking notes on my little fangrrl LJ here, I'm not entirely sure...
