SG-1: Incredibly competant, invested, smart people. When Daniel is gone, and it seems like everyone is just going about business as usual. whatever it takes, paian, Jack and Vala will scare you with their smart, wily, reading of people ways. Worksafe.

Firefly/Torchwood: Beautiful Stranger by ferretwho. A surprisingly effective crossover between Firefly and Torchwood. You've got your UST, you've got the strange importance of River, you've got Captain Jack mysteriously showing up in Simon's peripheral (and sometimes not) vision. I wouldn't forget him either. Worksafe, bit of slashy PG rated.

SGA/Torchwood: D'another Torchwood crossover via vintagemilitary: A Ring in the Black Sea. by basingstoke, is Jack in Atlantis, however briefly, regaining a little perspective and taking a little comfort where Teyla offers it. Interesting dynamic between Pegasus and Earth traditions, secrets and relationships, and how the differences end up being less important than anyone realized. Het, not worksafe.

Jack/Daniel Ficathon: Avast, Boys raqs. Teh funneh. I laughed rather loudly, but then, capslocked pirates getting annoyed with Jack and Daniel's banter is never not funny. Plus, PIRATES, people. Worksafe.

SGA: Fat My Dust, by cesperanza, fascinating complex John (but then, this is Speranza, so.) Not worksafe, on account of the John/Rodney.

SG-1: Lovely splash_the_cat: Soft Touch. Sam/Jack with some sweet jealousy and wonderful communication. Not worksafe.

SG-1: It's The Thought That Counts, bertybertle, Jack/Daniel for Daniel's birthday, I think. sweet without being saccharin, lovely simple pick-me-up.

Jack/Daniel Ficathon: Entangled, by saffronhouse for the Jack/Daniel Ficathon, sg1/sga. Creepy and ethereal and full of dichotomy and intimacy and forever. Unique and wonderful and complex. G rated, but she starts with quantum science porn.

SGA wot I've recc'd before: thingswithwings: The New Atlantean Dictionary of Literary Terms: A Complete Reference in Four Volumes I've mentioned this recently: slash, threesome, het, sga, team, femslash, commitment phobia, communication, awesome story structure. Not worksafe.

SGA AU: fiercelydreamed: Unidentified (posted in parts, but completed work) Interesting slash au (present day Los Angeles, Rodney is a physicist, John is a pilot for a small charter company) in which Rodney calls from a Santa Barbara hospital, having woken up one morning on a beach without his memory. Nifty themes of what one learns vs. who one is, and whether Rodney's quirks and paranoia and complexes make him endearing or unable to be intimate, and what happens when they're gone. I did have a hometown moment where I got defensive about there being smog in Santa Barbara. That's LA! I wanted to say. Here we call it 'current off the ocean producing morning fog, AKA gloom.' It is possible that I got a little defensive. PG-13, some fade-to-black stuff.

Dark Angel: veronamay's (Jensen Ackles fans, pls to note): Standing The Heat (Alec/Logan, NC-17) sexy and wonderfully eyes wide open.

MORE Dark Angel: (there's more than one! I'm not kidding!) cereta's Alexandrian Solution in which one of the dorkier plot devices ever (a virus preventing the two leads from touching, or, you know, having sex) turns into quite the psychologically complex threesome, or multiple partners fic. consensual voyeurism, not-worksafe.

I have more. 30 more, to be precise, but you can't have the rest until you eat your vegetables and I find more time to code. I hate it when the recs list gets out of hand. *sigh*

I always underestimate how much fun it is to laugh. I laughed really hard when the pirates got annoyed with Jack and Daniel; that was a gift.
