I am considering signing up for I Saw Three Ships. I ponder, because I've signed up for the dark_gate challenge, but I really do want to encourage threesome smut (and I am more or less unemployed for the next month and a half)... And I'm pretty sure I could write a decent threesome in SG-1, SGA or Firefly. So maybe. Especially since Alizarin has taught me how to really love Inara instead of liking her/tolerating her pining after someone she can't talk to.

secret_slasha also entertains me, though I really only have seen a handful of Buffy eps ever. Then there's Yuletide, which I'm watching with a sort of detached amusement, where last year it was with a rather gobsmacked sort of impressed. I mean, over 800 people signed up? Yowsa.

The whole point of this post, though, is to mention the following:

3_ships signups close tomorrow, which is also when we are rid of the political ads on T.V! Yay!
yuletide signups are closed, but it's fun to watch the community start to stress out already (that's going to come back to karmically bite me on the ass, I just know it.)
secret_slasha signups are still open, this years theme being Letters to Santa, I gather.
There is also something called Don We Now Our Gay Apparel, which I honestly thought had to be QAF, but turns out to be... boybands? *shrugs* If, um, you're interested (no, I'm sure we have other common interests) signups are still open for a few more days. (I mean, seriously! How is that not Queer as Folk?)
passion_perfect seems to be a femslash fic exchange.
WAIT... there's a stargate_santa? Actually, I can't tell if this is running this year or not.

It's just a mad, mad, mad ficathon time of year, isn't it? I should really finish the fic I'm writing at the moment and get on writing the one I have already received a prompt for.

I don't think stargate_santa will run again this year; the old mods are much removed from the project and last year's mod is awlj. I considered stepping in to run it, but with the grad school and the busy! Which is sad, I participated three years in a row and would've liked to do it again, but not to be! There's always next year.

Awwww.... though it does cut down on the ficathon dilemma of the year: what to sign up for? Decisions, decisions...

I'm only considering signing up for two because grad school is over. You have my sympathies.

And last year I signed up for seven holiday season fic exchanges (though counting on my fingers I can only remember 6 of them -- for some reason my brain has repressed the memory...)! I've shown remarkable restraint this time 'round. :)

The only one I have is this POTC one I made, because Jack/Will/Norrington = YUM! You are welcome to it, if you like. I don't really have an SG OT3. Jack and Daniel are my inviolable OTP. I love Cam/Sam and Cam/Teal'c, and Sam/Teal'c is pretty cool, too, but I'm not sure about all three together. Cam/Teal'c/Vala would be pretty smokin'.... Anyhoo....

Eeee... I didn't know that 3 ships was a threesome ficathon! I'm going to have to pass this year as I already have one christmas ficathon (as well as a monster sized story) feasting on the brain. We do not discuss the professional exams!

So I'd rather not overextend myself - flailing muses can be dangerous!

Even so, I have friended it just in case... y'know (points at icon)
