Continuing the trend of late night snacking fic reccing, I give you.... STUFF.

Nice crossover femmeslash of a resignedly long-distance, established relationship sort. Sam/Elizabeth, and a seduction only another woman could have dreamt up. Love that it didn't solve everything, and the feeling that it's just a short moment, what they have; transient. The Secret Laws of Thermodynamics, by [livejournal.com profile] sakuracorr for the Seduction Challenge.

Gen? Craziness with the sims, and responsible for the AU in my head now (200 is also at fault) in which Teal'c just WANTS you to think he's wallpaper for his own Superhero/alter ego purposes. The Ongoing Saga, I'd give this a PG-13, possibly R rating since Daniel gets up to quite a lot of kissing, or talking about kissing. [livejournal.com profile] moonshayde's fault.

John/Ronon kink: [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt's Line of Command pre-slash with D/s tendencies. Nice.

Jack/Daniel for the seduction challenge: [livejournal.com profile] sorcha_gaia's Trippingly, Off the Tongue. Language!kink, NC-17.

Renae (=[livejournal.com profile] sly_bone) wrote a really interesting gen piece about the team, and the dynamics and the perception vs. reality. Great Cameron voice, and Vala is also endearing. History in the Making, PG-13.

Sid ([livejournal.com profile] sidlj) brings da surreal with early season Daniel's dreamscape. Your views may vary, but I'd call this gen or canon relationship het, but seriously surreal dreams from a guy in serious internal conflict cross lots of boundaries. Jack is a fantastic reassuring presence. Nightscape, rated R.

More crossovers, this time a Pegasus Project tag meeting between Vala and John. Loved Vala's use of Earth-ism's being slightly off, John calling her on it and the contrast between his inability to talk about himself and her completely straight-forward nature. His emotions were sweet. (Black Cat) Come Visit Me. John/Vala, NC-17 from Liondragon ([livejournal.com profile] shusu).

[livejournal.com profile] wishfulaces gives [livejournal.com profile] agentotter a pretty Jack and Daniel friendship ficlet in [livejournal.com profile] ottercrossing. S8, great voices and complex psychology. Only those two, seriously. Old married love even when it's platonic.

More from Moonshayde: TEAL'C! Teal'c ficlet! The Price of Time, PG, gen. There are untapped reservoirs of interest in Teal'c's assimilation to Taur'i ways, seriously. And how he changed them? I must SEE Teal'c teaching other's to kel'no'reem!

A separation, and too close to home. Hurts to read, but worth it. No warnings. [livejournal.com profile] synecdochic, Jack/Daniel, PG-13, The Fourth Kingdom.

Recover with Calibrate, early S4 Daniel, pre-slash with Jack. Massage!kink, and so thick with tension and intimacy and easy and trust it's almost enough.

[livejournal.com profile] ctorres's gentle little comfort for a universal sadness. Lament, Teyla/Cadman in [livejournal.com profile] fish_like_bikes. PG.

For more [livejournal.com profile] fish_like_bikes, more Vala seducing absolutely everyone in Atlantis, and not a little humor, please to see also [livejournal.com profile] alizarin_nyc's Sharing is Caring, Vala/Teyla and multiple partners.

How much do I love you?

A WHOLE DAMN LOT.

And now I realize that I am behind on my reading. Oh I long for another rainy day!

Hee! That's what I'm really aiming for when I rec. Lots and lots of luvin'.

I really, really think that the best way to deal with the cancellation is to write more fic! Whee! Or at least, that's how I hope people will deal with the cancellation. Certainly seems to be the case so far, there is lots of stuff popping up all over the place. Keeps my little newsletter tagging fingers busy, lemme tell you (in a good way).

It's so lovely here and now I've had a week and my parents are in town again, I feel pulled to the garden. Good job I'm reaquainting myself with my nightowl ways or I'd never read anything.

I think you are right - cancellation = more fic.

I'm glad you're getting the chance to relax. Wow, a garden. This NYCity gal don't know from gardens! I did see a tree today, though, it was growing in Brooklyn.

That was some durned sexy flirting, that was! Mmmmmmm.... sometimes it's all about the build, you know? Yes.

So very welcome, lovely girl.

Brilliant recs again! Thanks.

Especially thanks for The Fourth Kingdom which ripped out my heart, stomped the sucker flat, and made me want to move a few thousand kilomters farther from the US/Canada border.

Oh, you're welcome. Did mean to get back to you in your LJ and say you don't have to comment here every time I rec (because, you know, that's often) but then when I do get comments it makes me so happy. Usually I have maybe half a dozen comments on a recs post, at MOST, so thank you.

And Fourth Kingdom. Goodness. That was an exercise in minimal words to rec because I just don't know if I could read it again, and it's so powerful, without resorting to a single melodramatic device (no character death, no bashing, just huuuuuuuurt). Drat that woman and her amazing characterization of a broken, lost Jack, anyway! *meep* (and this fic has nothing to do with my wanting to move to B.C. Nope.)

It'd be the first reason for moving to B.C. I've run into for months that didn't involve J2. I was at a hospital fundraiser yesterday where we started talking about the SPN pretty, fcol! *g*

I do solemnly swear that I would move *first* for work (and that I've been eyeing the lab for a while), second because US politics scare me, and only third because I intend to stalk hope to accidentally run into the really attractive people who live there.

I've been meaning to look into that. I might pimp, but I'm not sure my brain is back online enough to request or write. Maybe it would be by December, but right now I am drawing a complete blank.

Yay! Always nice to hear. You're welcome. I'm really impressed with that fic, actually. Might be my favorite of yours.

My subconscious wrote it! It's all mystical and magical, and it astonishes me. I may have to try my hand at dream-fic again. :-)
