Okay, so here's the thing: I got me a case of the bullet-proof happy, as Taselby would say. Neither Skiffy, nor my tires blowing out in the left hand lane of a major highway, nor wacky hours at the photo shop preventing me from getting passport photos taken (for visas, not actual passport, I got that) can dent it.

I was thinking about this today and going "way to go, Skiffy, let the fans get excited about ep 200, rediscover their fannish love and glee and then drop the H bomb on 'em. You rock."

It makes me feel really sad for the world. War does this too, actually, so I've been sad all summer long. Dammit! Why can't I be on the beach sunbathing with the really rich people! Why?

You know, after driving a fire trap of a car for the first 5 years of grad school, a little thing like an exploding tire is nuthin'. This car has been so nice and reliable. I really ought to replace the signal light and missing hubcap so it doesn't look quite so ghetto, though. To match it's nice shiny new tires, obviously.

(It's funny -- I recently caved to necessity, sucked up my pride and admitted that yes, I am mobility impaired no matter how much I keep insisting I'm fine, and started walking with a cane when I'm out and about on uneven surfaces, etc. My girlfriend immediately started calling me House. Apparently I'm surly enough about it to qualify. *g*)
