minxyLast few fanfics posted to the tealc_ficathon (haven't seen mine yet, which means extension, which means I'm batting a .330 average pulling in fics on time in ficathons. Woe! Wonder who it is ficcing for me. *ponders*)
All the other fanfics and a brief description have been gathered here (including mine, which you should all have read! There will be a quiz.) Actually, self-pimping aside, feedback for the intrepid authors taking on Teal'c POV would not go amiss. There are extraordinary stories here, pimp them, won't you?

leviathanmuse for anhksign. Teal'c/Daniel in an established relationship. Really nice details of tracking and MREs, survival techniques (I do love the one where someone gets chilled by a dunk in a river and needs to get naked to warm up. Love that.) Nice action writing, and notable description of Daniel's skin from Teal'c first person POV that stuck with me.
Leaving Childhood bykatie_m for paian. Wonderful complexity in Teal'c's interactions with Ishta and Rya'c and Kar'yn, extraordinarily well crafted characters for all of them, fascinating subjects, fascinating reactions. It's amazing. S8/9, het, G-rated.
Speak the Living bypaian for hsapiens. Gorgeous and heartbreaking traditions, both new and old, Teal'c adapting and coming to terms with his past and present and future, with loss and betrayal and orders and the price of freedom and the weight of surviving. Elegant friendships with Sam and others, incredible backstory and missing scenes from Heroes make the canon moments even more heartbreaking and meaningful. Wonderous. Gen, PG, spoilers for S7 through Heroes, some foreshadowing of canon Jaffa culture mentioned in later seasons, but not plot or character related.
A New Path byankhsign for furor_scribiend. Teal'c/Daniel, S9, PG-13. I actually loved the dry wit of this, despite it's feeling a bit off from the general fanon that Teal'c would think as he speaks in formal language, I loved the idea that this soundtrack was constantly running in Teal'c's head behind the straightfaced delivery of pitch perfect Teal'c dialog. Great Teal'c humor piece, subtle and clear all at the same time. Reminded me of Dr. Jackson's Diary a bit, that kind of liberty with the subject used to very funny effect. I laughed loudly.
Other stories (not ficathon related):
Rebecca =blueraccoon (which is such an entertaining handle, too) has jumped into the Atlantis ocean and started posting John/Rodney fics. She's known (to me, anyway) for doing great sexy things with power plays and D/s stuff in the NCIS universe and she does here as well, only she'll reinterpret who's D and who's s for any particular fic, which, you know, not so much with NCIS where Gibbs is clearly the alpha. It's amazing. Two fics, both NC-17, D/s roles (pretty mild) respectively: Breathe, John/Rodney, first time. Data Set, Rodney/John, established.
While we're on the kinky side of things: Voyeurism, exhibitionism fromtheemdash with a marvelously nuanced Jack and Daniel interaction, all about being caught and released; only Daniel could do both at exactly the same time. Choiceless. J/D, NC-17, no particular season.
I just readgreen_grrl's sweet little S9 friendshippy thing between Jack and Daniel which was an awesome little moment in which Jack cannot deal with politics and Daniel becomes negotiator. Very nice. (Im)patient, Gen, G, S9ish.
Huh. HUH, I say. Apparently my browser objects to showing my history for the last few days and doesn't want to help me find the links to fic I've read recently. If you're interested, this is one of the primary ways that I rec and why I post every few days generally (because I only keep the history for twoish days). As a result, there is now an inherent bias in my recs towards authors that respond to my feedback and end up in my email inbox as a result. I'm kind of okay with that, except for instances where I may not have left feedback... huh. Well, leave me a note if there's something great that I've missed, will you?
ETA: Okay, I add in a bloody brilliant crossover with House and Daniel: Hotel Sex byresearchgrrrl with extraordinarily good medical detail and fascinatingly ouchy motivation. and self-pimping aside, thanks for going over & reading it. It was the first fic i've finished in a year, and i really like how it came out in tone. but some people i know who always fb haven't said a word about it, so i've been a bit bummed.

I guessed my author right though! I had it between two. :-) I really enjoyed participating, despite the panics. I'm more relieved I got mine done on time AND my "recipient" liked her fic. Anything written "for me" (which I've never had happen before) will just be a big bonus!
