I have rediscovered fanfic and this is the NCIS fic that [livejournal.com profile] blueraccoon wrote for [livejournal.com profile] dustandroses melted my brain into a puddle of goo I have yet to recover from. The power play in this is phenomenal. Please (Don't) Pet the Tony, slash, NC-17. Gibbs/DiNozzo.

Nanda's team & family post-Threads is cathartic and lovely: Anything. Sam, gen, SG-1, Season 9.

Flying Low at Night by [livejournal.com profile] cofax7 is the final form of the Farscape/SGA crossover WIP she had going there, which is John Sheppard's POV as a transplant from Atlantis into the Farscape 'verse something like 6 years after the end of the series. Aeryn is tough and alien and beautiful and decisive and wonderful and electric. John is guarded and on the brink of finding something. Adult, Sheppard/Sun.

[livejournal.com profile] janedavitt posted (after a struggle with LJ, apparently) the penultimate chapter of the Eclipsed series, and this one is all about Daniel, his presence, his absence, his involvement as a strange unwilling third party in an explosive yet strangely simpatico relationship between Paul Davis and Jack. Lost and Found, adult, Paul/Jack, SG-1.

[livejournal.com profile] trinityofone's As Well As Valor is an emotionally and psychologically complex look at Rodney and the whys and hows and wherefores, and how John fits in that. NC-17, slash, SGA.

[livejournal.com profile] jenlev wrote a wonderfully wierd piece (it competes with some of the SGA-type crack although no animals were harmed in the making of) entitled What SG-1 Found on PST-489.. Really defies categorization, but no pairings and PG-13?

[livejournal.com profile] princessofg is a name that just exploded out there as she's new to the fandom but jumping in and writing as she watches the first few seasons. I b'lieve she's somewhere between S3 and 4 now, and as we all know, this is PRIME JACK/DANIEL SLASHING TIME. And she's writing it. NEW early season Jack and Daniel. I point you, to begin with, at this lovely standalone first time fic: Avalanche. NC-17, SG-1.

Also read some scorchingly hot Farscape smut. It won't be new to anyone but me, but it's got to be shouted from the rooftops, as I know there are other people just getting into Farscape like me. Big huge massive spoilers for Out Of Their Minds (2.09? I think):

Scientist, Astronaut, and Nymphomaniac: the 9 Lives of John Crichton by feldman = [livejournal.com profile] rubberneck. I have not seen it's like for variety, heat, attraction, exploration, first-times in many many senses or sheer numbers. I have not seen anything like this before. It's that good. NC-17, really. Really really. Het, at at least one point.

Out of Their Clothes by [livejournal.com profile] crankygrrl turns from whimsy to lust to love to confusion in the blink of an eye. Amazing. Het.

Also, back to SGA: [livejournal.com profile] rydra_wong pointed me to a stunningly gorgeous and breaky Teyla fic: Shatter, by [livejournal.com profile] ladyjax, in which Teyla is strong and breaking. Teyla, John and Rodney. R, gen.

Just chiming into say those 2 Farscape fics "Scientist.." and "Out of.." are such cracking good, frelltastic fics. It really can't be said too often! Ages ago I printed out "Scientist..." as holiday reading and was recently delighted to find it was still in the zipper compartment of my suitcase! Glad you're reading such good stuf ;)

I have the very best flist ever. They seem to be completely in support of my wish to remain spoiler free, too, so they wait, mostly patiently, for me to watch particular epidodes and then (get this, how special am I?) they race to rec the very best stuff! It boggles the mind. I feel such love from the puppy pile.

That's a lovely description of Eclipsed; thank you! Don't throw things if it turns out not to be the penultimate though; I've still got a lot of ground to cover to make the three sections mesh! :-)

And, do you know, I've never read any Farscape fic and here I am watching and loving it every week... I don't care about spoilers as I've seen the end but I'm tiptoeing on the edges of the fic.

I was just organizing my brand new Farscape recs page, (http://users.livejournal.com/_minxy_/42393.html) but if you go here (http://users.livejournal.com/_minxy_/40044.html) you'll see all the fic that people reccd me at the beginning of season 2, for no particular episode or as indicated. It's amazing how much they came up with off the top of their heads.

What episode have you seen now?

Oh, cool; thanks! This week was the one with the crackers and the going mad.

Er; does that narrow it down enough? ::g::

Oh, Crackers Don't Matter? That was amazing, that one. Are you interested in following my insane meta posts on the episodes? Because you can follow the farscape meta tag (http://users.livejournal.com/_minxy_/tag/farscape+meta) and all the conversations are under lj cut so you can skip to the ones that you've seen. In the comments are some of the most amazing recs ever, and I've yet to be disappointed.

You know if blueraccoon writes it, I'll read it. She has such a way with words, and descriptions, emotions - I just get sucked in.
I am so totally in love with Stephen & Joshua in her Geometry series. I told her I would happily read fic with just the two of them - especially if it delved more into their relationship. Every time Joshua drops Stephen I get chills.

Oh, nice icon you got there. Mmmmm.

I really adore Stephen and Joshua like I have never adored OCs before. I almost want Tony to stay with David because I think it means I'll see more of Joshua and Stephen. And yes, Stephen dropping gives me shivers, it is so evocative and appealing.

TY - i like your icon too. I have this one & the previous one keyworded as sexy men. :-D

I really adore Stephen and Joshua like I have never adored OCs before.
Amen sister.
I *like* David, I think he's interesting, appealing & a good match to Tony. And I am all for Tony staying with him so we can have more Stephen & Joshua.

And yes, Stephen dropping gives me shivers, it is so evocative and appealing.
Exactly. So sensual, and it wouldn't work if I wasn't already invested in the characters. The little taste Stephen gave Tony of dropping gave me goosebumps as well.
I told rebecca in a fb note that when tony truly lets go & drops whomever he is with better hold on b/c I think think a lot of grief is going to come pouring out.

speaking of Daniel/Teal'c. Have you read the extremely long teaser on Lady Ra's website for her zine 'First Prime'?
Think its put out by ashton press. I haven't caved on getting the zine yet, but its hard resisting b/c the teaser is so damn good.

Daniel/Teal'c, you say? That would be interesting. *ponders* Haven't seen that, though. Have never bought a 'zine.

long story teaser for 'first prime' by Lady Ra here

we could always go in on the zine together & share custody. :-D

wait - you've never bought a zine? wow. But then i've mostly bought The Sentinel zines, and two BtVS spander zines. (used zine sales are your friend).

I think I'd be one of those usually absent parents that shows up occasionally with a tennis racket as a gift. *g* Sharing custody would definitely be the way to go.

Thanks for saying! I'm thrilled to find princessofg so enthusiastic about the fandom and the pairing, it's really a breath of fresh air to have all these first time Jack and Daniel stories suddenly, brings the love back full force. *happy sigh*

Avalanche (just caught the spelling mistake above too *face/palm*) was my favorite, but she has at least one other stand alone first time fic and several tags for episodes like Need and Maternal Instinct that are worth looking at too if you're in the mood.
