minxyAnd so here we have that rarity of rarities, the MEME. heh. I liked this one.
Name ten of life's simple pleasures that you like most, then pick ten people to do the same. Try to be original and creative and not to use things that someone else has already used.
1. Laughter. The kind that doubles you over and hurts your abs and gives you an ache in your cheek and is pure joy.
2. Really brilliant sensory stuff: amazing food, fragrant lotions, the feeling of steam from a hot cup of tea on your face, the mouth feel of a wine you really can't afford, how a cold can of soda feels in your hand after a day of working with a shovel in the sun.
3. Working hard at something worth doing and realizing that you have been challenged and you are proud of the result.
4. The rush of finishing exercise. and knowing you are going to get a lot of really good quality sleep that night.
5. The nostalgia of putting on clothing or a uniform that instantly takes you back.
6. Reading or watching a story with a universe I believe and don't want to leave. Also, falling into a painting or drawing and coming out hours later with blue paint or charcoal on my hands and wondering with a sleepy brain how much time has passed.
7. Sex, or flirting, or dancing, with a really simpatico partner.
8. Vacation: the splurge of being decadent with your time and money and attention and location.
9. Falling in love and falling asleep; I love both sensations, especially if you can realize it's happening without wrecking it.
10. My puppy's face when she's sleepy, because that is pure adoration.
