Besides the fic that I posted (what? You thought I had shame? I have nooooo shame. I will pimp myself, why not?) for Taselby, and that girl got herself some really nice p0rn in general after a bad turn a week or two ago, there have been some other great stories posted of late.

Besides mine, obviously, which is the bestest. I only mention that because [livejournal.com profile] remixredux stories are being posted tonight and I'm in there too, so then there will be a new best. See? Important to sort this stuff out.

ETA: OH. They're posted. 350-some remixed stories in many, many fandoms. So. Much. Goodness. *thud*

[livejournal.com profile] brighidestone posted Parenting in the Pegasus Galaxy, a continuation of [livejournal.com profile] astolat's A Beautiful Lifetime Event story and universe, and it's a marvelous family portrait, with two guys pawning off the ickier parenting responsibilities when they can and dealing when the kids come to them with problems no one expected. Marvelous. And for the record, I was like that as a 4-5 year old. It was fun fielding questions from me about what a tampon was after yet another commercial where girls danced and cartwheeled across the screen, I'm sure. FUN.

[livejournal.com profile] mmmchelle and [livejournal.com profile] thegrrl2002 wrote some John/Rodney/ZPM p0rn too, called A Many-Splendored Thing.

[livejournal.com profile] rivier is holding a posting about guilty pleasures fic, in which you anonymously post the fic that has something horribly wrong happening (bad writing, bad characterization, bad coincidences, bad subjects...) but YOU READ IT ANYWAY, over and over and over. Your crack!fic, the one you can't explain but that you love. Go post your favorite and then read other peoples and laugh or fall into the wonder that is crack!fic.

Speaking of, [livejournal.com profile] ana_grrl has some self-appointed crack!fic that is really a marvelous romp: One Must Change If One is to Grow. Cam/Teal'c... and you just have to read it. It's G-rated, or PG.

And, hrm, where to put the apocafic in this list? I think here, with the inexplicable and the gorgeous. There Are No Gods In Pegasus by [livejournal.com profile] niannah is beautiful, but it does not pull it's punches; it is the more darkly stunning for it. SGA gen.

Jack/Daniel, Find the River by [livejournal.com profile] kres. Have you read this yet? It's a wash of beautiful words and then you get to the end and find yourself saying 'my God...' with all of this awe. Find the River is posted in its entirety now, completing the whole triptych, and it's just gorgeous like a hot shower with incredible prose.

[livejournal.com profile] janedavitt was merrily writing along for the [livejournal.com profile] teal_ficathon and then decided that this was not the direction she wanted to go in, but it was so pretty that she couldn't resist posting it in it's own right: Off Base, Teal'c/Cameron/Vala PG-13.

For lovely Jack/Daniel (in the not-often explored Early Relationship With Awkwardness) go visit [livejournal.com profile] destina's Aftermath.

[livejournal.com profile] cofax7 is writing a pretty SGA/Farscape crossover. Mmmm, Sheppard + Aeryn = very, very pretty. Alas, it is a WIP, but here you can have Part II.

I'm reading:

[livejournal.com profile] theemdash just recc'd this on [livejournal.com profile] stargateficrec and I got to agree with her that it's a gud 'un-- um, two. Whatever: Plus Ca Change & Plus C'est La Meme Chose by livengoo at Area52. Jack/Daniel, starting with friends-with-benefits and working from there.

Also Used To It, by [livejournal.com profile] carolyn_claire, which is stranded!Jack/Daniel and off of one of [livejournal.com profile] stellahobbit's many wonderful collection lists (with recs) at [livejournal.com profile] stargate_search.

Also [livejournal.com profile] kellifer_fic is writing icon!fic. That is all.

It would be no use at all for me to post anonymously about my fav badfics because everyone would know it was me anyway. :oD The McShep with Zed porn was lovely...got me laughing and hot at the same time. Good recs!

I don't know, the stuff that's recc'd on there is almost jaw-dropping in some cases. Just amazing.

Glad you liked the recs!

Problem is I only read the good stuff....:oD Okay, okay, truth is, bad or not, there isn't that many fics I'd say I was ashamed of enjoying. Maybe those awful H/C Ezra fics, but no one knows about M7 anyway.

I'm a little sad none of my fics made it tho. I need to write more I guess. ;o)

For me it was posting the ones I cannot explain loving; they do all the things I try to avoid doing, and make so many mistakes that normally I would have stopped reading.... and yet I not only didn't *stop* reading, I've gone back to REREAD.

That's the one I posted. The inexplicable one. The 'why do I love this?' one.

Also, your's are wonderful and funny and not at all inexplicable (double negative, v. bad) or shame-worthy. You'll not find them in that list.

Thanks minxy, that's very kind of you, but you've only read the few little SG1 fics I've done recently. You haven't seen my MarySue-from-hell in another fandom that lives out there someplace. ;o) Or the romance novel that won't sell.

But I do need to write more.

LOL. Knowing your own past mistakes is a very good way to keep from making them again. I still cringe at the though of my first fanfic. Thank goodness I get to edit what shows up in my LJ.

Actually, LJ has been the most amazing resource and helped my writing immeasurably, both in finding betas and getting feedback and reading other work and having dialogs with the authors... have you posted any fic here yet? I can't recall.

Gah! One of my stories is on there...!! *blinks* Hmmm... should I be worried that I'm on the same page as Rottweiller bestiality??

*reads* Oh, ok, so their reason it was a guilty pleasure was because it was Harlequin and *not* bad writing... I can live with that... *grins*

Thanks for the reccy hon... *mwah*

lol... I think that definitely falls under the 'I shouldn't enjoy this soooo much' heading for different reasons than the Rottweiller bestiality (I saw that posting and thought, oh dear gracious tree spirits protect us.)

Thanks for pimping the comm!

Numbers are slowly creeping up on a continual basis now, and that's excellent, because the more members, the more people to help out on finding things :-)

You are surely welcome, miss! I really love the lists you make there, the organization is fantastic and I've read through several of them top to bottom. Must do what I can to help encourage such marvelous behavior!
