So, heard that this one has nice moments, but won't compare to TWWW, so I put some time between them so as not to compare... much. No, really.

… a gender-ambiguous con artist? LOL. I love this show.

Can you imagine something Aeryn would despise more than babysitting Chi and Rygel shopping? Pooooor Aeryn. Nice slap upside the head to the puppet, though. Heh.

The image of Chi in the glass is a little too well done. Reminds me of the thing in Alias where they drew a picture of Sydney on some old parchment and with long hair and it was… semi-effective.

Sooo…. The glass shows semi-literal predictions of the future?

Oh, Chi just said that. *pets Chiana* Sorry about the leg.

HAHAHAHA! Rygel is going all orgasmic about something he sniffed. Zhaan seems to be having a lot of arguments with people this episode. Not nearly as zen as usual. Awww, cute moment with Chi and D’Argo.

D’Argo is bringing up memories of Macbeth and Banquo telling him to not trust the witch. Hail D’Argo! Thou shalt be king hereafter!

Uh oh. Bluey having issues. You know, the ‘I can’t tell you, but I need you to trust me implicitly’ speech is never good.

So no harm in playing it safe? That sounds ominous.

Bluey freaks and there’s a bad ‘CHIANA!’ moment from D’Argo, now Zhaan is meditating and they’re all mourning someone I know will survive so I’m not all that moved by Chi’s wig on a puddle of blue goo.

Loved Aeryn’s ‘I don’t feel guilty!’ speech. That’s cool, and now John’s doing a quick check with Zhaan about all decisions? Would he have done it anyway? Only now Zhaan’s hearing things and John knows it.

And D’Argo is going to walk right in front of a sharp pointy ship after he’s seen the picture show him a sharp pointy death? I do love the ‘I love hangin’ with you, man!’ discussions between D’Argo and John.

Now I’m wondering if it isn’t all in John’s mind, frankly. Except Zhaan is also tripping.

Listen, the ambiguously gender confused trader con-artist person? Totally reminds me of Terry Gilliam playing some kind of queeny role on Monty Python.

Who the hell is Maldis? Can’t remember who he is. Was it the Pizza guy? Huh, don’t remember him. Must’ve blanked that one.

Dood, it’s a fun house mirror in Maldis’s paintings. Aww, Chi is asking the same question I am. I like the soul-sucking vampire line. That explains enough, I suppose. And if you’re going to give Aeryn an instruction you want her to obey without question, go with ‘kill then leave.’ She’s good with that.

Awwwww…. Chi/D’Argo moment. *is fond* And John/Bluey moment… with a big freaky hand (that Zhaan is comically shooting with a DRD, like they can’t aim?).

Much shattering ensues… and we’re all good and everyone believed Zhaan. Plus Chi gives us the technobabble explanation and Rygel tells us it’s best not to ask these questions.

More John/Bluey moments. She has more heavy metal necklaces. I do love how they take the time to wrap stuff up in this show, where Stargate would still be handwaving the technobabble. Kind of endearing, really. Embrace the weird science! *handwavey dance*


By the way, any and all fic recs (self pimping included) will be greeted with open arms. I'm just relying on you to keep me relatively unspoiled for future eps, or I'd go a-searching myself.

You can now read: Necessity, the two Change of Vector stories (both Crais), Blood and Shadow, Expedience, The Color of Light, Triptych, Chronicle of a Future Foretold, and Holiday.

Of the others, you cannot read Those Who Favor Fire or Written on a Thumbnail or MoneyChanger or Bellum Interruptum until the end of season 3. And most of the rest were written during season 4.

Lemme think. You're now into season 2 but-- no, you still can't read In the Company of Ghosts. That will have to wait until after season 3. You can read A Set of Common Tools and Every Dark and Long Night. Scapekid's Fiction in the Space Between is great. The Stars Are Ours joint project. Fialka's Between the Stars. Meek by Northlight.

After about 216 you MUST read Analise's Weight of the World. After you've finished season 2 you can go back and read her prequels, which are on her website.

Who's That Girl is set early season 2. Andraste's Writing Home is a good look at PKs. Oh, and veefic's Newstime Special Report is one of the most creative things ever. It's so great. And, of course, there's Mely's Outcast, which makes me sad she never wrote any more Farscape fic.
