Your Inevitable Unhappy Ending by helenish is SGA John/Rodney, taking off and running through a couple of years in it's own timeline. And it hits a lot of my kinks: awkward sex, misunderstandings in some cases due to deliberately saying what they don't mean, great psychological complexity about why this relationship is different, Rodney having to be the non-screwed up one of the two, nice depth of character in the rest of the ensemble, including Elizabeth in particular, and Miko. It's also well written and the characters are really interesting takes on the canon guys. I rec highly.

Isn't it sweet in a marvelously Not Saccarine way? My favorite bit was when Rodney cottoned on to the fact that John was saying the opposite of what he meant. *g* Silly boys.

Great example of romance and sweet without ever once forgetting that you were dealing with MEN, who are, perhaps, not inclined to explain themselves.
