One: A really nice twist on John/Rodney. She flipped a few of my assumptions by the end. SGA, teen rated, John/Rodney on vacation. Truth In Advertising by [livejournal.com profile] devildoll. I've never read this author before and I was impressed.

I also must admit to being sliiiiiightly addicted to the crack that is xanthe's John/Rodney BDSM AU General and Doctor Sheppard (link to part 8: Sensory Deprivation, the rest at [livejournal.com profile] xanthestories. Adult rated.) I started reading in the middle, at part 7, I think, but now I'm soooo happy she posts a little every day. *sigh* I'm doomed. It breaks allll my general rules to like this! It's a wacky indulgent AU! IT'S A WIP, for GOODNESS' sake! It's crack. I want more.

And it's [livejournal.com profile] katie_m's birthday! Happy Birthday, Katie! Hope it's marvelous with sexy new glasses and ev'ythang. Let me just thank you now for having a birthday because Sal gave you presents we can all enjoy! Woot! Tuesday (for Katie) by [livejournal.com profile] troyswann is set post-The Dirt of Sowing and Reaping, which you needn't have read to understand, and Sal gives a quick rundown in the header if you need a refresher. This is such an amazing space, a quiet nap in the afternoon and the company of good people, the trust of sweet relationships, the rediscovery of indulgence and decadence after the world almost ended but didn't. Tuesdays in February would be Jack's kind of party, wouldn't they? Jack/Daniel/Sam, teen rated, gorgeous and no one gets hurt. Yeah.

Okay four, FOUR recs for a Tuesday (what? I can count, I just *didn't*) [livejournal.com profile] thassalia wrote [livejournal.com profile] cofax7 (it's all so interconnected, innit?) a post-ep for the Scourge. Teeeeeeamy goodness. And I love that this is going on because a drawback of T.V. is that you don't always have the luxury to resolve everything as much as ought to be done, and this is great. I got involved in a conversation with Thea about whether Teal'c drinks (I thought the Jaffa as a group tended to drink wine but Rydra remembers an episode where he actually stated that he doesn't drink alcohol. And I thought it was a fanon thing. Shows what I know) but I didn't see this on my flist. WHY NOT, lj? Why is lj stealing my flist from me? Thank goodness the rest of them have it covered. *clear disc cache just in case*

You haven't read [livejournal.com profile] devildoll??!?

She wrote a story about ass ducklings. Which is the crackiest crack that ever cracked. Or would be if we weren't in SGA fandom. And? Funny and sad and perfect. Seriously.

LOL. I'm laughing already. Thanks! Will read, like, RIGHT NOW! *scampers*

*comes back in to say* SGA is really the most cracktastic fandom ever, isn't it?

*scampers back out*

I'd blame that on laughing too hard at the ass ducklings, but the timing is all wrong. Although, seriously, my stomach hurts from laughing so hard at that fic. Good lord, the crack!

(fixed the link, thanks for the headsup!)

thassalia wrote cofax7 (it's all so interconnected, innit?) - hee. C. totally shepharded me through my first year in fandom (both figuratively and literally- encouraging me, introducing me to the right people, keeping me from having a panic attack at Burbank:), and beta'd (among other things) my Farscape novellete with her trusty machete. There's not much I wouldn't do for her:)

And many thanks for the Teal'c advice, even if canon does prove us both wrong:)

Ah, the beauty of fanfiction- selective adherence to canon if it suits your purposes. Hee! I love the image of Teal'c mixing Cosmos for Daniel, though, so it's all totally worth it.

And I can only wish for such devotion should I ever attend a con. They scare me. I think I'd have panic attacks in general just leading up to the thing.

What season is your Farscape Novella set in? *bats eyelashes*

It's a NOVEL. Don't let her lie to you. It's like a gazillion words. Many many many words.

It goes AU midway through season 2, though, so if you haven't gotten to Look at the Princess you can't read it yet.

Drat! Not about the many words, 'cause I read like a fiend and the longer the better, but drat about not having seen Look at the Princess... and maybe even later bits 'cause Thea says there are spoilers in it. Drat drat drat.

*bumps more Farscape DVDs to the head of the queue*

(pssst... longer than ADW?)

Hee - C. (and Kernezelda as well) found me at my first con, took good care of me and released me into the wild unharmed:) I did have a near panic attack, but enjoyed myself because of the lovely people I met. I followed C. around like a puppy and she made sure that I avoided any crazies and didn't get eaten by bears:)

And hee - it's set in S2, post Look at the Princess, but I'd reccomend seeing the whole series first (unless you're spoiled for a variety of things).

I am totally unspoiled (except for the miniseries) I am a sweet, virginal, unspoiled innocent little thing of a 'Scaper. Except that I'm mildly aware that John is going to lose his marbles this season... and okay, a couple of other things but I'm trying to forget I know them.

THERE ARE BEARS AT CONS??? I'm totally not going by myself. Ever.

There are bears EVERYWHERE!!

Hee - it's not so much that you have to have seen the whole series, but I think it probably has more impact if you've seen it:) (At least seen through S3) I do, however, have much, much S2 porn that requires no knowledge of anything past S2 whatsoever. I can also reccomend some absolutely fantastic S1 and S2 fic if you start craving it!!
