Just really quickly here:

mmmchelle and thegrrl2002 committed sweet and p0rny John/Rodney smut: Sex Things.

saffronhouse has posted a gorgeous amazing H/C John and Rodney fic that is filled with this dread that is so well earned. Rodney's silver lining (in the form of coffee) making it all worthwhile is fantastic, as is Zelenka. Moka.

The lovely thassalia once again takes Mitchell into the realm of character and discovery and bafflement, and it's fantastic. Kraftwork.

icarusancalion has a grand SG-1/SGA crossover about the effects of the constitution Weir wrote. Scroll into the comments for more discussion of Elizabeth's work on Earth, if nothing else just for a good reason to respect her. Colony Atlantis. Then go read the Rodney snippet, afterward, for a laugh (I think it might actually be a prequel kind of snippet).

I've been sick, and then M was sick, and school started...

But really, I've just been kinda down and rather than post whiny "oh poor me nobody loves me waah" stuff, I've been reading, watching DVDs, and hating my computer science class (which involves no actual computer science).

But this week I got to go to the computer lab at school, and there is just *something* about the springy ticky-tack of the keyboards there that makes me want to write.

And I've been trying to be good to myself and walk every day (or most days, weather permitting). The round trip to get the kids from school in the afternoon is about 2.5 miles, so that's a nice "get off my butt and work the endorphins" treat.

And... wow, I can talk a lot about nothing. *g* I missed you too. Do you know if you're coming to Escapade yet?

I am supposed to schedule my defense for March, but haven't actually picked a date yet. So I haven't committed to much that happens after that since the defense has already been delayed so many times... I'd say it doesn't look good for Escapade, though, as I'm beginning to realize how expensive travelling is going to be. Perhaps I can route some pre-international flights down your way and we can get together and drink coffee and cuddle and stuff because omg I am so feeling the 'oh poor me' thing lately too.

*sighs* Maybe we should trade 'cheer UP, dammit!' fics. I was thinking of expanding my p0rn battle entry to include more p0rn, maybe. No plot planned at this time, however there may be some light bondage...
