Holiday fic recs

wickedwords is her first in the fandom and we can thank taselby for the recruiting and inspiring. This is J/D, adult, S7 and a fantastic exploration of what has changed about Daniel and how he is more likely to invite himself if he needs to now. It's a nice nuance for the character. Jack's solutions for a bad day with difficult people remind me uncannily of my Mom, too, but we won't go into that.
troyswann's Gift of the Magus will either frighten you (but in a good way) or have you hysterically rolling on the floor laughing. Or both. It's funny, it's in character, and it's frightening that it's IN CHARACTER. LOL. She also wrote a bittersweet Vala snippet. And lo, I am thrilled when my favorite authors find their handle on a character. Especially when I haven't yet. "You're like elves distributing existential angst to the needy of the galaxy." *blink* YES.
Little Christmas fromsage_theory for the 10/12 days of Christmas fic, which I have LOVED. This is Jack/Daniel and involves some excellent snuggling.
Also, read this last night, and I don't know why I didn't read it earlier. Well, I do know, actually: I wasn't and am not really drawn to the dorky Alt-SG-1 from Moebius, but Jennghis Khan (surrealphantast) has written several fics working with those characters and this one is a stand alone OT3 with great individual relationships between the three of them. In particular it focuses on Jack and Daniel working out the intimacy between themselves. It's beautiful, in a fantastically smutty way. More Than We Are J/D, mostly, adult.
ETA: My pal Sid has a new fic up at Area 52, it's the first part of a D/s series and it's called, appropriately, How It All Began. I believe it's one of two planned prequels to Intensity, right Sid? Daniel/Jack with warnings for D/s kink (light in the first, decided in Intensity), but it's pretty durned hot kink. Adult, obviously.
Also, this is an older piece, but lovely: Home Again by eos =ducks_in_a_row. Jack and Daniel, pre-slash, fever delerium. Yeah.
I am woefully behind on any Atlantis reading or any other fandoms, for that matter, but a girl can't be everywhere, especially when she has to fight for truth and justice TOO.
