I have glee today. I am happy happy going-on-a-date and feeling rather pretty, plus I have reason to laugh, even if it's at myself.

I've described it in full technicolor detail in troyswann's journal comments.

Plus, happiness loves company (why should misery have all the fun, anyway?).

I also wrote a bitty snippet of Mal/Jayne for ana_grrl, because she had the brilliant idea of making icon inspiration fics official, and wrote me a lovely Teal'c/Cameron snippet. Go here to see what she wrote for me and others, and what we've written her back.

And, in a lazy, I'm-preoccupied-with-rl-today sort of way, I direct all fanfic seeking people to cofax7's recs today. I don't want anyone to be bereft.

And, I'm going to do an icon loves/icon wishes list here, because I have no. skillz. with the icons, but I do so like the pretty of them.

Icon love:

to or_mabinogi, for my OT4 icon and my wondertwins icon, which were both made on inadvertant request, and surprised the heck out of me both times. *loves* He's also contributed substantially to my icon collection with Cameron/Daniel icons, the inset icons, and the 'voyeur' icon (which I love in a very sneaky way) among others. Teh skillz, people, teh skillz.


amnellwyvern made me a McShep icon in monotone, manipped to get the boys a little closer together, also on request, and it's beautiful. Those boys might just convince me to love Atlantis.

sdraevn shared dancing icons, and they are wonderful and lovely and they have been used more than any other non-fannish icon I have. I'm not even trying to deny that this is due to my current state of infatuation with my dancing partner. What would be the point?

paian made me a word request icon (heal thyself), when I was so sad. She picked Teal'c for the image, from the Changeling, and it reminds and represents how lovely all of you were, with your stories and images and the flying colors you flew while cheering me up.

Also, icon love to people who are skilled and lovely and share their icons with the lj community at large, asking only for credit in return: everlyn, artifuss, jr_moon, psychofilly, caersmane, brandinsbabe, pax89, skater_g8r, seewhoiam and thefakeheadline have made such beautiful icons and I must thank them and credit them for each helping me max out my allotted 100 icons in a significant way. Thank you for sharing, people who probably don't really know me from Eve. *loves*

That said, here is my icon wish list, including sentiments I have looked for but can't find:

1. Image request: OMGtheTableScene! icon. I realize Serenity is hard to screen cap while still in theaters and not out on DVD yet, but I yearn for a Mal/Simon Table Scene icon. The Taaaaaaaable Scene........

2. A Therapeautic Slap Upside the Head, icon. It's like a wtf? icon, but more proactive.

3. Teal'c/Cameron OTP. Doesn't have to say OTP. The world just needs more Teal'c/Cameron icons.

4. A word request: 'No mistake' or 'It's not a mistake'. I just like the idea of a 'first time' icon (possibly in conjunction with wish#3, possibly not). No, I can't really explain it. I have no skillz with the icon making, we've discussed this.

5. Sentiment icons. One's I've looked for lately or wished I had: 'Bitch, please' (I did find one that I think I like), In Love, *boggle*, *is hurt* (H/C), How is *that* logical? or What has *that* got to do with it?.

No, I'm not firm on the wording, fandom, or ideas behind of any of these. I will not claim exclusive rights, I will not be upset if I never have them. I will squee and bounce and generally be gleeful if Santa brings me any of them this year.

Finally, I would just like to say that RL, she has been melodramatic. You all, you have been wonderful to have and be around during all of that. You have made it better and prettier and warm and happy. Thank you. *shares the happy*
