The OTP that spans fandoms. Ladies and gentleman, I give yooooou... John/Aeryn! Erm, Cameron/Vala. That's what I meant.

Seriously, though, I think these might work for me partly because people are taking what they know of the actors in Farscape and fleshing out characters that have had but minimal canon screentime, but still working Cameron's need to prove something and Vala's snark.

Also? rydra_wong rocks for telling me about these little gems. And not for the first time, I might add. *loves*

I recommend (drum roll):

The Rules of the Game by sloanesomething. This is a rather brilliant character study on Cameron as Outsider and Vala needing more than she admits. Daniel, Teal'c and the OC Green are also very interesting and well-drawn. This is a beauty. Spoilers through Beachhead.

And, a funny little snippet that might, creatively be called pre-OT3. *ponders* Cam/Vala Snippet. Also sloanesomething, but very different tone. More 'hey it's been a long time and you're here and I'm here...' than 'OMG we have a connection,' and they both have merits, says I.

Also, I'm working on an Atlantis rec list, but... I feel inadequate. Others pay so much more attention! But, hey. I'm in an organizational place, what's a girl to do?

The Games Men Play by dustandroses (@ dustys_fic) Another 4/5 so far, but Gods help me, I started reading and now I'm HOOKED, precious! I just can't resist the p0rn. I'm weak. It's hot. What can I say?

A Dirty Wind by cofax7. I was waiting for it to be finished, but now it's finished, I'm waiting for it to be tweaked and edited and unified or something and *head/desk*. The only reason I can resist is because omg I probably don't have time to fall into a long story who's only exit is the other side. *head/desk*

bastmoon (Roo)'s slash-> Stargate ->The Simpatico Series. It is tortuous to me that this probably won't be completed, because it is beautiful. It is also crazy amounts of work, yes. But I love, and I am a bit heartbroken, really.

Wordgeeks' The Mind Doesn't Decide series, which I also started reading before I realized that it was a WIP. *whimper*

And, last but not least: Retrograde by ltlj. The force is STRONG with this one. Actually, that's the wrong fandom. This is a critically acclaimed (can you *say* that about LJ peeps?) SG-1/SGA crossover... And it is really everything I was promised. Holy carp, what a fantastic story! *enjoys the ride* Erm, whoops! There are spoilers in the comments. Just a warning. But seriously, go read it!

Jane goes darkside: Leaving Time by janedavitt, J/D, NC-17, S4ish, some violence. It's really deft how she's woven threads of communication and resistance and miscommunication and love and anger and pain and blending into a piece that starts in one place and ends in a completely different setting. Don't be scared of this fic because of it's darkness, it's haunting, and it starts creepy, but more than that it's thought provoking and even the sex has meaning in all of it. Incredible.
