Mitchell/Daniel, eh?
Sep. 22nd, 2005 07:48 pmHuh. You know this worked for me? I could believe this.
janedavitt, of course, is wildly talented, so if you're going to give them a shot, read Daniel/Mitchell from her. One on One. Missing scene/tag to Prototype (9.9), because you know, you just *know* that Daniel isn't going to just holster the gun and be fine with killing someone. Even a really *evil* someone.
Then, forget about that and go pour a little OTP balm on your wounds: Snippet by the fabulous

Date: 2005-09-23 06:27 pm (UTC)*hugs back* I love how many fabulous writers there are on LJ, I really do, but it is just. so. cool. to actually chat with y'all.

Date: 2005-09-23 07:06 pm (UTC)And I know just what you mean; when I discovered fanfic and then found out about LJ and that my favourite authors had LJs and were there chatting away, posting fic I hadn't read, I was thrilled to bits. And sort of nervous about saying hi, but everyone was so friendly that that didn't last long!

Date: 2005-09-23 07:56 pm (UTC)I have to admit still being kinda shy around authors I've been loving for a while. Not used to the accessibility, maybe. They are amazing, though, and so friendly, even about LJ etiquette and the like. I'm starting to feel pretty at ease.
OH! and finding little fics that I hadn't seen before? priceless. I love to read fanfic. *sigh* It's such an addiction. Writing... writing is harder because others seem so much better at it. Guess I'm still working on that aspect of the shyness. *G*

Date: 2005-09-24 03:10 pm (UTC)And I know what you mean about getting intimidated, because it happens to me, but I doubt there's any fanfic writer that hasn't happened to! Don't let it stop you :;hugs::

Date: 2005-09-24 07:58 pm (UTC)You know what I'm trying to tell myself about writing? That we all do things the others can't, so while someone else is probably writing something exquisite and heartbreaking and I'll be in awe, I'm still writing something of value too. Though I always want to be really good at whatever I'm doing. So I still have that inner censor, obviously. Lately I would just like to see more fics out there... I think folks are intimidated by S9.
*G*
I wish I had a little more time to write lately, but... alas. RL. It happens.
