Thing 1: I created and birthed a magical tiny human:



She was born just over two weeks ago, and let me tell you, street drugs have nothing on the waves of oxytocin I've been riding. Cats, I am utterly infatuated with her. And sleep-deprived. And typing one-handed. Please forgive coding issues & all.

Thing 2: My national grant proposal was recommended for funding. HOLY TOMATOES. It's going to be hard to beat getting funded in the age of Trump-idiocracy.

My baby's birth and the phone call from NSF happened within 3 weeks of each other! I don't know if I am equipped to deal with the rest of this month, but I feel like I should maybe buy a lottery ticket...
