I do sympathize with chemistry departments doing job searches mid-semester, but every single time I've communicated with the West Coast they manage to completely bork time zones.

Is 7 PM on Friday ever a good time for a phone interview? Srsly. It's like a pre-test.

It's not like the West and East Coasts of the USA are ever not three hours apart.

Well, actually during the switch from/to Daylight Savings, they aren't, but this should not affect job searches unless vampirism is a requirement.

At this point, I wouldn't put 1 AM on Fall Back Sunday past them...
