You know what? I think Sanctuary may be the new show I manage to keep track of in upcoming months. And not just because Sci Fi assumes I'll be home on Friday at 9 PM either.

No.

I enjoyed the hell out of that show.

Granted, the "in" character was totally a Daniel Jackson type. Complete with a strange relationship to his glasses and a quest to discover something/avenge someone yada yada yada... And the daughter was a wierd (fairly boring) cross between Lara Croft and one of the X-men.

But the real reason I'm in? Because that was not Sam. No. Sam Carter has nothing to do with Helen Magnus. And Helen Magnus was damn interesting. This was part of the reason Vala and Cameron so caught my attention: because they had nothing whatsoever to do with Aeryn and John.

I'm in. I'm in it for Helen. Screw the other Daniel Jackson guy whose name I've forgotten, or Ashley, or the guy from Atlantis who has history with Helen.

That wasn't Sam.

You can download them, sort-of-illicitly. They refilmed large swathes, but not all of it. It was notably different, however, and not just because David Hewlett is no longer in it.

It's such a shame when one character is most excellent and the others are boring, but it's enough to give the show a chance, I think.

Sometimes I wonder if she's going through her scenes and accidentally saying 'Daniel', though.

And I'm totally absentminded too, I found out that one of my friends was really concerned that I was spitting mad at her because I hadn't responded to the last few emails she sent. *deer in headlights look*

This is why I don't set T.V. goals more complicated than keeping track of one shows air time.

If they want a specific reply, they need to a) send me an email about a party that I get actually *before* the party, b) imply that an RSVP is needed, c) not send me only mass emails.

I mean, I think. She *knew* it was racing season, I'm so confused about the emo thing. Think it's sorted, though.

This isn't the only reason I'm in, but I am in. She was very not-Sam. (Although they keep saying she's "sexy" and "sexual", and I have yet to see it.)

It isn't really the only reason I'm in either, but she's a primary (I can get ott when I post at midnight. Ah well.) I loved how she moved and acted, easy with a gun, comfortable in a cotton dress, nice wisdom and ease of movement, nice worry and doubt about past and current mistakes.

And I want to know who the others are. And whether the outside world is going to play in to the show as much as I think it is. The quip about a medical plan was supposed to be just funny, I think, but it would be really interesting to see what happens if they get really hurt and need more than a band-aid.
