From
destina, a lovely Supernatural gen story. Three Gifts Sam gave Dean (whether he wanted them or not) is backstory and the build to everything the boys were when we met them. Worksafe, gen.
Aeryn. by Melymbrosia Outcast. That has to be canon. I know I've recced it before too, but del.ic.ious is being wierd, and why not rerec a classic? Farscape, gen, but aggressively gen (as RW says) because Aeryn is never a safe character to visit. S1, but there are mild S3 references.
A fitting followup might be
troyswann's A More Genial Heaven, with Aeryn keeping watch over John-Falling. John as alien, and the original character more dynamic than anyone expects. Set firmly just post-Liars, Guns and Money III, Farscape, S3. Gen.
Continuum SG-1 fic from kazbaby: After All the Roads of My Life. I love Continuum fic. There is so much there that we weren't told.
SGA, and
toft_froggy bringing the smut (and smut this is, make no mistake, it's just that there is also a lot of story and characterization in there also.) Healing Station Argh. In which Pegasus has cable and they don't need your birth control methods, thanks so much, though, Milky Way. Very NC-17, poly, wonderful characterization of everyone on the team, even as they get down and dirty. S4, but no particular episode. Not worksafe.
A fantastic McKay/Sheppard on their own particular path to getting there, Clear Daylight, in which they still have relationships with girls, family and team, and they still cannot hold a meaningful conversation about feelings to save their souls, but the need between them is visceral. From
nym777, not worksafe, through current episodes.
And with a derivative story of a b-story in an AU of SG-1, I give you
princessofg's In the Ashes of Carthage. This is Sam and Jack of
synecdochic's Broken Wings 'verse (which is two novels of wonder and counting) but this story I think I'd rec regardless of whether you're interested in that AU. This is Sam and Jack warily and stealthily creeping their way towards an open, adult relationship, and it's glorious to see them find a moment of happiness together, eyes wide open.
While we're talking about
synecdochic, I'll point you to a series she's doing detailing Cameron and Sam's friendship across Christmases in the years before Cam was recruited into the Stargate program. It's wonderful to see a close friendship when Sam as we met her had had so many people let her down, and Cam's outsiders perspective is wonderful and concerned. Bound To is Sam's third year in the program, just post-The Devil You Know and Jolinar's Memories. Some references to a past relationship between Cameron and Sam (sometimes within the series), but this story is gen and worksafe.
Lastly, a nice little set of insights on Teal'c's early few months in the Stargate Program; perspective and well-balanced understanding of consequences.
annienau08's Teal'c Ficlet, early season 1, through bloodlines, gen, worksafe.

Date: 2008-09-09 09:15 pm (UTC)Turns out the new del.ic.ious interface is dropping the http:// from the direction when they list it under my bookmark, and I hadn't noticed.
I think they all work properly now.
