I hear Teal’c is most awesome in this here flick. I hope this is accurate.
Prelude.
(the hell? Okay.) Hi Mitchell’s backside! Oh, it’s this kind of introductory prelude thing. It’s a really fucking involved Previously On.
A really, really intricate Previously On. Fun to see the bits of scenes and how they organized them. Vala is quite the heroic figure in the Previouslies. Go girl.
And Daniel looks like he totally screwed Adria and then dissed her. Like, hardcore. Hell and Ori hath no fury, Daniel, you were a rat bastard.
(Damn, really, really intricate. This is sort of cool.)
Which leaves us with Vala = really heroic, Daniel = totally capable of sleeping around to get what he wants.
Which, you know… interesting.
And now… Stargate on ICE! (Haven’t we already seen this episode?)
Clearly someone had fun commandeering a plane and shooting images of the mountains. It is one of the more fantastic alien world landscapes they’ve created, but that village would be too cold for people to be walking around without a lot more clothes on (letting it go, letting it go.)
Okay, underground scientists fight the Orii outside Earths influence. And they have a weapon that they refuse to use. Okay.
And Daniel found it. HEY TEAL’C! You gonna be awesome?
I’m pretty sure that’s not good archeological excavation technique, Daniel.
Aw, Vala is techy. It’s kinda adorable. She totally has a point. I think (aw, Teal’c agrees with her) I sympathize with her. Poor girl, she had to infodump too.
Teal’c is awesome.
And I think out guys have been taking sharpshooting lessons from the badguys, they’re hitting nothing but rock.
Hi Tomin. S’up? C’mon in. (Good work, Vala. Sharp thinking. You look fine.)

Oh man, that’s lame ass reverse logic. That’s not the most transparent… oh, hey Tomin, whatcha looking at?
Look, a light-up frizbee saves the day! Nukes the priors and makes a lovely soufflé.
Back in the SGC, Landry is still an ass. IOA oversight guy is smarmy.
I like Vala’s walking-on-eggshells explanation of Daniel’s visions. And I love the logic of Tomin being smart and connecting the dots to something he knows of the Book of Origin. That’s lovely.
You know, that ‘Daniel enters, Landry says ‘Doctor Jackson?’’ bit was DUMBASS, but the details of the interrogation prep were stepping it up.
Teal’c is watching over Tomin.
Hee, Cam looks so uncomfortable in that chair. And aw, Teal’c is being awesome and bonding with the other ex-commander of the enemy. And he is wonderful. And talking about whether you can ever find personal retribution! We wouldn’t have heard that from Teal’c before Unending. And his advice is fantastic and Tomin’s response is subtle and interesting.
That was a good scene.
And now Sam and Mitchell are geeking out and giggling over the neat toys and things going according to plan for a minute or two.

Dang, Vala, went with the cleavage baring outfit for this particular voluminous skirt adventure.

Teal’c shifts a fucking huge stone, they’re heading in.
Oh thank God they finally locked that guy up. Yuck. Yay for delegating, Mitchell. It’s also interesting to hear Sam talk about whether getting stuck in a forever scenario is something they have to worry about.
Sam is trying to control things but there’s absolutely nothing to interact with on that console.
You know, people talk about commanding Daniel being really hard, but he did a very quick job of shutting down the search for the ark, picking it back up again, then getting talked into blowing shit up. Not so hard to convince.
They stepped it up with the fake rocks on this movie too.
You know, I’m sure Beau Bridges is a really nice guy, but it pains me to watch him try to act. Even with the God is Dead speech. Most interesting thing going on the scene is the lighting. Ten bucks says Adria is behind the priors visit to Earth.
Sam, a little radio silence is no reason to Stop Working Altogether. C’mon.
Oh, whoops, they just left the posse behind.
TEAL’C, DON’T GET SHOT. Damn, Teal’c is down, Tomin is getting ready to hit someone with a rock and neither Daniel or Vala can think of anything.
Hey, d’ya think the smarmy guy can be possessed by the bugs, or is he just going to get eaten?
Oh crap, Teal’c just woke up injured and alone? Suck! But he is awesome, I think he’ll continue to something of the utmost fabulousness. Like find something to help him stand, maybe. Vala’s is much more subtle reverse psychology. I mean, I’m not even sure where she’s going with it.

This is kind of a rehash of the Oma/Anubis battle/love affair, isn’t it? Somebody better be writing me some Morgan/Adria slash.
The Alterran that built it must have thought it was ironic? Wouldn’t it be cooler if that box was maybe the beginning of the whole mess? The prior on Earth hasn’t reconsidered? Maybe he’s just a bad person and it has nothing to do with faith or belief, eh?
Oh, hi Sam with the infodump, I guess that ‘splaining the prior in this galaxy is a nice explanation. Sam is being really cute and funny, and Cam is being adorably broken and really confused about the kiss on the cheek. *musses his hair* (Sam has a belly, is AT pregnant again? Good luck to her, if so!)
Vala’s “So will I” is a really nice response to a really nice promise from Tomin.
And Landry’s impotent about that ark falling into somebody else’s hands, but they’re off exploring yay!
