Humor Fanfic Recommendations (SG-1):

Hilariously, 26 drabbles (one is double length); one for each letter of the alphabet, stand alone, SGA, every pairing under the sun, most likely. Pretty sure at some point it's not worksafe, if only for the loud laughing. Able to Zoo by runpunkrun. R rated, recommended highly for the funny.

HILARIOUS. I love this kind of dry, sarcastic humor. Also, damn fine satire. Teal'c is in fine form, must say. Of Virtue Fair, by ana_grrl SG-1 fairytale starring Vala. Gen-ish (some slash) PG-13.

jenlev wrote a wonderfully wierd piece (it competes with some of the SGA-type crack although no animals were harmed in the making of) entitled What SG-1 Found on PST-489.. Really defies categorization, but no pairings and PG-13?

surrealphantast wrote a great team-night poker game in which Sam is spectacularly bad at bluffing titled Jello Shots (gen, team, G, very witty) that katiedammit has prequeled with a Sam and Janet UST-ish (it's almost gen. Very nearly. Still G rated, work safe! Fun for the whole family!) ficlet about what had happened to the rest of the Jello Shots: Never Bluff a Sucker. Which features Sam still being unable to lie, which is so entertaining, and Janet labeling herself 'jailbait', which, frankly, sounds a lot like something I would say.

First off, it's April Fool's Day, and the rather incredibly funny Anais (notmonkey) has written a Jack/Daniel fic in honor of this most austere day. April Fool. PG-13 for snark as only Anais can serve it up.

Speaking of, ana_grrl has some self-appointed crack!fic that is really a marvelous romp: One Must Change If One is to Grow. Cam/Teal'c... and you just have to read it. It's G-rated, or PG.

You Can't Judge a Man by the Cut of His Cloth by Tallulah Rasa. On oceana's rec. eta: BWAHAHAHAHA! And you thought SGA was a cracktastic fandom! This is right up there with the Rodneysaur in my world. *sniggers*

ETA: BWAHAHAHAHA! Daniel is boreeeed. LOL. Instarec: Boredom Killer S9 OT3, by kellifer_fic for surrealphantast. *glee*

Somnambulist by C. L. Kamnikar is a fantastic gen (author claims a leaning towards Sam/Daniel) piece about Daniel searching for coffee in the wee hours of the morning. Oh, the insanity.

Danver's (=sdraevn's) As the AU Turns (the one where they're all gay) is hysterical. SG-1. HYSTERICAL. I mean, Teal'c alone!

sdraevn SG-1 ficlet to prompt: marvelous and incredibly appealing due to the idea that they are all sleeping with each other and there is massive flirting everywhere (Snapshot, or The One Where They're All Probably Doing Each Other). I'm all for orgies.

With the patently silly and yet, omg you gotta feel for Jack, the importance he places on playtime: Face-Off by surrealphantast for atomicpagan.

A hysterical SG-1 fairy tale: The Tale of Sleeping Brawny and the Galactic Adventurer Who Woke Him Up by ana_grrl.

Also Here Be Dragons by k_kijo, which is Sam and Daniel and Jack and lighthearted in a marvelous clichefic way.

poohmusings wrote an absolutely hysterical piece titled WWZD? for splash_the_cat. It's just, I mean, *collapses into giggles at the mere THOUGHT of that fic*. Though I do have a sort of whacked sense of humor... but hey, clearly I'm not the only one.

It's amazing what one canon sentence can do: Acid Worms by BetaCandy which is Teal'c's take on the circumstances surrounding the drink that made Carter take off her... on P3X-595.

Love Bites by muck_a_luck A rather hysterical twist on the AMTDI cliche. I love Teal'c in this. J/D, NC-17.

Untitled fic by psychofilly A sweetly funny moment between Sam and Teal'c circa Season 1. It's her first dabble in a SG fandom, and I'm hoping not the last.

The Breadbox Editions by nialla43 Season 7, 8 (and 9 if we beg) sent up MST3K style. Hi-larious.

Dr. Jackson's Diary by Anais The seminal, the amazing, the corrupting Diary. Yup, it's the work that turned me into a slasher. *gets misty*

SGC Training Seminar #5: Sex, The Workplace And You, by Blue Buick R I suggest you don't make the mistake of actually trying to read this at work, as your coworkers will look at you funny.

Best Laid Plans by marzilla. This could go under slash, or hawtness, or J/D or any number of things, but because it involves the home shopping network, it's going under humor. But it's also HAWT. *guh*

The Aftereffects of Sustained Sarcophagus Usage by prillalar. Another of those slashy, sexy, and also funny. Goes in the humor list.

Wormhole Extreme by danvers. Not to be overlooked, oh no.

Once More With Groping and Same Old, Same Old by Teand. Both short and giggly. When 'Aliens Made Them Do It' starts getting repetitive for our heroes. Poor things.

NON-SG-1 or general fandom:

kellifer_fic wrote a followup to Little Bear called Sun Bear, which is cute and cracked, and which features the words 'tumbly run' which pleased me.

More SGA crack (and I mean that in the best possible way): _mousi's The Greatest Rescue Mission in the Pegasus Galaxy. There are no words.

brown_betty wrote me a fic from this prompt (tangent: because honestly, now that's in your head, can you THINK of anything else? If anyone else asks me for a prompt in the next week they're getting pointed to this photo. I'm still drooling.) and I luuuuuurve it. Firefly, gen: Still, to be Neat; Still to be Drest.

astolat has written two very different pieces; one is a wonderful humorous bit for merryish in merrymakings: Wear Sunscreen. John and Rodney and Ronon. SGA.

Crack!fic: Rodney as dinosaur. And really, there is little more that can be said. vileseagulls' Rodneyosaurus. AND, OR, THEREFORE more Rodney as a dinosaur: Twenty-Four Hours with a Rodneysaur, Illustrated by Moonloon (=maryavatar). Cracktastic goodness with OMG CUTE ILLUSTRATIONS by spaggel!

More crack!fic-- some of the hottest, omg my brain has exploded, never mind that it's gendermessed crack!fic, threesome action EVER. John/Rodney/Ronon and a third installment of It Stops Being Funny at Skirts (svmadelyn)/Skirting the Issue (thisisbone). NC-17, really. And hawt, did I mention? But Some Things Never Stop Being Funny. I will not apologize, it was hysterical.

The 10 Commandments of Fanfic by b_cavis. Wonderous tongue-in-cheek handy dandy guide for writers. Mild spoilers for Harry Potter Book 6, and general amusement at the expense of My Little Pony.

OT4 Atlantis: No, Really and sequel! to be followed again by a third! Yes, Maybe by basingstoke It's SGA, NC17, slash and het, John, Rodney, Teyla, and Ronon. It is so, so sweet, very funny, a situation that I really bought and the characterizations are wonderful. So much so that you will race to the sequel and be sad that the third isn't done yet. Wonderful. Also *guh*, in a very big way. Both of them.

The Physicists Bride by queenzulu SGA/ Princess Bride crossover crack!/flash!fic. I LMAO. It's v. funny.
