I did something fannish this weekend, did I tell you? I went to WinCon!

...Well, okay, I didn't *go* so much as I showed up briefly at the hotel on Sunday as people were leaving, waltzed through a meeting room, made plans for later and then swept out. I was there to see the ever-lovely kres, and had just driven a ways and was a bit tired. But y'all were... doing something with yarn, I think. Hope it was great, though the significance to Supernatural eludes me a bit (EVIL KNITTING GHOSTIES!)

I had a fantastic time with kres, though, who reminds me of my best friend from college sometimes with her straightforwardness. *loves* We hung out with Cap'n Jack Sparrow (also two other marvelous fangrrls who's handles I completely forget, if I knew them), walked the Hollywood walk of fame and spent some time getting locked in large ugly buildings while trying (unsuccessfully) to see some modern art. We have skillz, we got out, we had fun representing the female sex in West Hollywood.

FANDOM. I miss you guys. Someday, I will find some time and finish some stories for y'all. Or, you know, rec something.

I actually only knew I was coming down maybe two or three days in advance, or there might have been some, you know, *planning*, and maybe we could have actually met.

(though, it sounds like you were getting overwhelmed by that point. My sympathies!)

I missed this as I was flying up the left coast. Now I'm firmly ensconced in vacation time, and you are likely asleep. Woe. (also, am supposed to be researching Sputnik for Halloween-like projects, and am checking LJ, hee!) Also, I'm in Chapter 5 of betaing, and this story is seven levels of awesome. I may have to go over the last few chapters again and add some helpful comments not of the 'omg!*sputterofawesomeness*' variety. How about a chat Tuesday or during the week, since most of my mornings are my own? I can even chat *story*, omg.
