Waiting for my stew to stew...

I've seen the Chromatic Recasting meme going around, and it's so cool to ponder Farscape, DC comics, even Disney films recast.
Whyfore no recasting of Stargate? If there's a reason, please do tell me.
But I thought it would be fun to consider. I apologize for the inconsistent sizing of the images.
Stargate SG-1, recast entirely with actors of color:
Mehki Phiffer (Jack O'Neill) Looking through images of this man outside of ER, etc? I just know he can do dark as well as goofy and friendship.

Adam Beach (Daniel Jackson) Smart, smiley, looks young, but the man has guns. This is the guy who opens the Stargate and then keeps up with the military sprinting through it (and manage to get dragged across the desert to meet just the people they were hoping to find. Yeah.)

Sanaa Lathan (Samantha Carter) You want athleticism, I point you to for Love or Basketball. Plus, she could work a labcoat and a soldering iron and reverse the polarities with one hand tied behind her back.

Naveen Andrews (Teal'c) I love Chris Judge, and I love Teal'c, but I thought it might be fun to recast anyway. Naveen Andrews has the ability to convince me he's a badass while walking so softly that I am just fascinated by the idea of him as Teal'c. It would be a very different character.

Christopher Judge (General Hammond) Because I love that man. Chris was the only original team actor to never leave the show or take any extended leave of absence, so I thought, after 10 years, he might want to try another character. Can you imagine the difference his physical presence would bring to a briefing? OH HELL NO YOU WILL NOT GO THROUGH THE GATE UNAUTHORIZED. I mean, would you defy him?

Nadine Valasquez (Vala Mal Doran) I got so I really loved Vala. Her characterization on the show was uneven, but I'd be curious to see what Nadine Valasquez (My Name Is Earl) would do with the sexually manipulative/dark past/goofy, Cheshire Cat grin/opportunistic character.

John Cho (Cameron Mitchell) Okay, yes, John is everywhere right now, between Star Trek Reboot and Flash Forward, but I was impressed, okay? And also I love it when he does the closed-lip smile. Adept, sweet, aw-shucks I'll just take care of that and get it done? Yeah.
