I, ladies and gentlemen, have Finished A Draft of my REMIX.

Now, I know I said that before, but the Betas (may they be loved forever) pointed out that it wasn't so much a *remix* as a *prequel* and perhaps another character might have something to say?

Enter one John Sheppard.

John stole the POV, yes he did. He also made me CHANGE THE TENSE OF THE STORY. Granted, my other POV character had been tactfully hinting about a change to present tense, but I was able to overrule that. Then he QUADRUPLED THE WORD COUNT.

Shut up, John. Don't look at me.

And give me back that microphone, you with your long-winded dithering about behavior.

*is tired*

*collapses prettily on the couch*

I hate it when that happens.

Does he always do that? Because if so, I'm never writing him again. Whenever a POV wants to be John, I'm doing a search and replace with Ronon.

Actually giving in and writing in present tense was a lot easier than resisting, though, oddly (shut up, John.)

Really? That's the sweetest compliment ever.

I hate John.

But I love *you*, and now I get to go read some of the books you leant me... um, when I find some more free time. I really need to stop trying to catch up on my flist. Maybe, um, Wednesday? *pencils in reading a book into Wednesday night*

I've never written John so I don't know, but he does seem like the story hijacking type, though. A similar thing happened to me years ago when Mulder was minding his own business, telling his story when Krycek decided he wanted to tell the story and locked Mulder in a closet.
