Because I've been doing a little, um, navel-gazing? Is that the word? With regards to what kind of man I would fall into bed with... hypothetically.

Exotic bad-ass

You scored 85% masculine, 52% athletic, 63% exotic, and 50% refined!

You want everything in a man at the same time! Masculine, built like a
Greek god, exotic and mysterious and even some bad-ass in there too. I
think you would really like Freddy Ljungberg, the Swedish soccer
player. He's the guy on the right. But let's face it, the whole point
of this was to look at a bunch of hot guys. If you liked what you saw,
please rate my test!

It's the bad-ass part that I find most interesting. I'm assuming that's an opposites attracting thing, because I think 'sweet' is sort of the first impression that I leave people with in general. I do admit that baby faces do almost nothing for me, and my Stargate boyfriend is Ronon, hands down. Or John when he's being a bad-ass military dude, but mostly Ronon. Yeeeeeaaaaahhhhh.

ANYWAY, I'm here because I forgot to tell you about this perfectly marvelous Torchwood fic that [livejournal.com profile] frostfire_17 wrote. Now, I haven't seen any Torchwood, and I've only watched the Ninth Doctor and one episode with Ten in it, but I thought her scene setting and worldbuilding was MARVELOUS. It's spot on Captain Jack though processes, too; heavy with responsibility and still always open to going to a sexy place. Thumos, worksafe.

I think I might have to watch Torchwood, and this Slings and Arrows show that [livejournal.com profile] jenlev has been on about. Just as soon as I catch up on Dr. Who.

woof indeed. Rawr.

"I think you might really like..."

You think? And he's Swedish too, and I used to live right across the way.

You know, and don't hate me for this, but I've never seen Due South? I feel somehow remiss fannishly.

I got the same, Minxy. We have good taste I guess. And from your description of the Afrikaans man, I'd say that sounds somewhat like him...masculine, exotic, mysterious. I didn't like the test much...too many actors I can't stand and think are way too young anyway! :oP (Still bleaching eyes out over pic of Ashton...aaaggghhhhh!)

Due South is good. The title was actually filmed in Alaska. :o) I just never saw Frasier with Ray, but then again, I never thought Ray was in any way hawt.

Seconding the rec. Beautiful story that I think I'll have to re-read in light of this weeks episode.

Torchwood is a show you must have in your life. I would recommend watching all of series 2 DW first but... the Torchwood love will own you.
Though I think you'll want to hug the stuffing out of Jack (take a ticket and stand in line, hon!) and headsmack Owen. Just a feeling;)

Did I mention the m/m snogging?

It does sound a bit like him, especially the mildly unrefined/kind of a badass aspect, which was perplexing me somewhat. He's not the first man I've been with to occasionally proclaim himself to be an asshole (although that was with an apologetic grimace,) so I guess I have a bit of an explanation for that now.

Gods, it was pulling teeth to choose between the really young boy faces on that test and imply I was attracted to them, wasn't it? Blech.

We have excellent taste.

Frost mentioned the gayness. And also? The gayness.

I saw a new Daniel/Tony fic in the lines yesterday. Haven't read it yet, though. If you're interested: http://nilahasi.livejournal.com/28378.html Last chapter of a previously WIP.

Ronon vs John

But John is the one who would give your nipple a single lick before rushing out the door to whatever crisis he had to deal with next.

Damn. That's a good point....

*slaps hand to the table, decisively*

I'll take both.

(because Ronon is the one who'll give you a hungry grin from across a crowded room and not care if anyone else noticed.)

I have seen that mentioned but... I have a hard and fast rule (pretty much!) If Tony goes over to the slashy side of the force (and I ain't talking Star Wars here;)) it's because of Gibbs.

Gibbs/DiNozzo is pretty much my OTP for this fandom. I'm handwaving the Gibbs/Ducky stuff under the Xavier/Magneto rule (old guys need lovin' too!)

But I shall have a read. I mean - Gibbs/Daniel - hell yes! There is plenty going for it - the hot, the coffee, Jealous!Tony, the tangents... it's possible...
