I've been feeling that Sam was near breaking point for a while, so for her to see someone like her shatter would be a turning point. I'm glad you liked the dialog. Once they started talking the dialog took them to a very interesting place, I think, so I'm glad it worked for you.
I'm also very grateful for the links, and will check them out. I think I've heard of Scientific Minds before, but the others are totally new to me. Thanks muchly!
