Hmm, I guess I didn't really notice. Well, that's not entirely true. I thought maybe it had happened, but I didn't think it was Jack/Daniel specific. I'd noticed an overall drop on Sg-1 fanfic across the board. Since I seek out gen and friendship more than slash or ship, I've been devastated. Everyone's jumped over to SGA.
Since I'm not an SGA fan, it can hurt. But those who write will keep up the good fight. As long as the fic of all kinds relax you, then we all reep the benefits ;)
