The DC-Colorado separation thing doesn't actually leave me all that bothered. If you go purely by onscreen canon, neither of them was getting a lot for about eight years, so even the infrequency of a long-distance S9 relationship is a big improvement in their sex lives. *g* If you assume that they've been together through most of the series, well, somehow Jack lived without Daniel for a whole year while he was Ascended (and for a whole year while he was on Abydos, if you want to posit a relationship that starts back in the movie), so this is nothin'. They're in the same dimension, on the same planet, and in the same country. They'll do just fine. :-)
