Oh, but I love Peg B. It is my very favorite AU. And Jack/Rodney of the PegBa'al offshoot is my very favorite unlikely pairing evah. And it is so wonderfully handled by raqs. But then, in my head, raqs is the axis about which Peg B turns, so I might be a little biased (listen, the first fic I read was Under a Broken Moon, and it just all comes back to that for me.)

Pegasus B Jack is horribly broken. With sharp edges. It's hard to explain but he and Rodney gravitated towards one another in their brokenness and loss. Nightmares, forced healing through shrink visits, friendship that transcends words, all these things grow a relationship that far precedes sexuality, which is good because terribly broken!Jack has never been anything less than completely straight before. Yet they sleep together, side by side, these friends who can't sleep alone anymore. And it's Christmas, and that can throw into sharp relief exactly how many important, little things they've lost: Wrapping Paper. Jack/Rodney, adult, Pegasus B/Ba'al 'verse, a Christmas story.

jack/rodney came about entirely because someone dared me and i said "i b'lieve i could do that" (you know, like the mechanic in "doc hollywood") and everyone was like "no, no, it's madness you speak!" and then in the comments to "Pretzels" danvers was all i can sorta see it (http://www.livejournal.com/users/raqs/130964.html?thread=671380#t671380) and I was all YES! see what i mean???

and then tafkar went and wrote "dark moon high tide" and everyone was all "OMG jack and rodney are so funny together, their friendship is the best," and taf was all (to me) "i want to see RODNEY as the center of the love triangle" ('cause all the other peg B stories had this thing with daniel between jack and rodney) and i was all "I b'lieve i can do that." and then i did. which is "under a broken moon."

which is all just to say i couldn't be more tickled that people like the jack/rodney. because i luuuuuuve them myself. and kellifer_fic, i hope you write more!!! 'cause that makes it REAL, you know, when more people write it.

LOL. I love that! And, now I b'lieve you could do anything. Plus, my PegB research? It comes along. And someday, when I feel competant in the PegB lingo and fanon, I may even write something. If, you know, I get a good idea about something to write.

In the meantime, I read PegB. It is a good thing to have so much fic to read in such a pretty AU 'verse.

And, my love for Jack and Rodney in PegBaal (I LOVE that Jack and Daniel compete for Rodney. And John is SO missing out) is second only to my love for Theresa Jones now.

But you, you I love unconditionally. More than Theresa and Jack and Rodney PUT TOGETHER. That's how much.
