I have just noticed that I haven't posted in over a month, so I bring you the following observations, courtesy of my brain:
1. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST NEW YORK, WHAT IS UP WITH THE WEATHER. California was not this hot. Oregon was having a heat wave and it wasn't this hot. I went hiking in UTAH, in JUNE, and it was not this sticky and hot and gross. Bleh.
2. On Sunday, Saturday, and a few associated other days last week, I was in the (Pacific) Ocean. = Glorious. Also, relatedly, I have apparently achieved "that New York glow", whatever that means. Only less so, now that I've been frolicking in the ocean for a week.
3. Memorable sexy quotes: "Have you come yet? It's not sex unless you've started orgasming already. Maybe I need to step up my game." Also, "You don't need to feel sorry for me, you know. I only orgasm once per, but sometimes it feels like multiple orgasms. And sometimes I get the kind where I'm all ahhhhhhhh*, you know? So I'm not suffering, here." And also, regarding the multiple orgasms thing "This just does not get boring."
Relatedly, I just spend the one year anniversary of moving to New York with my sweetie in California. Which means we have begun the one year countdown to actually getting to live together. This has triggered the most amazing impatience you can imagine. Suddenly, I am so over being separated, and a week ago (before I was informed that the countdown had begun), I was handling it. I think my attitude might partly be related to how much stuff I have to get done before I get my sweetie living with me as a reward. Why so hard, sometimes, world? WHY OH WHY. Still, I'm not sure it should be this easy to be happy whilst separated by a large continent.
4. Man, you guys, I wish I had something fannish to say. Are you bored with discussions of knitting yet? You probably are, and it probably doesn't count as fannish anyway.
5. I seem to be watching So You Think You Can Dance? And fangirling Alex Wong. I have no need to start writing fanfiction for him, but I'll keep you posted. (That's the best I can do for fandom, really? I suck.)
6. I had a lovely 33rd birthday. It was magnificent. I love birthdays, and I particularly love sitting on a beach while my former town explodes colorful chemicals in the sky above me. This year I also paddled around the harbor on a board and met about a billion of E's watermen pals, which was fairly salty, as you may imagine (and I don't mean the water,) and hilarious.
7. My guy is money-strapped, stressed and frustrated in California right now. Your good thoughts for the fubared** finances of his company to get straightened out before we leave so that he doesn't go on bad terms (from a family company) will be appreciated.
*the "all ahhhhhh" is accompanied by a strange shimmy, with spasm and jazz hands, demonstration. I'd describe it as an aftershock, except he's grinning so goofy, and it's not much after (by which I mean, it's still during.)
**Oh, recession, you do hurt the craftsmen. Now knock it off so that salaries can be paid, okay?
