Your own personal poltergeist.
Nov. 14th, 2007 11:36 amToday, I:
1. got up late
2. drank stale coffee (yes, yes it was nasty and I am an addict don'tyoujudgeme)
3. locked myself out of the house
4. failed to wake up my housemate by phoning four times, despite the fact that she was also running late and requires two alarms and a knock from me to get up most mornings.
5. Got car grease all over my favorite gym sweatshirt fetching my spare set of car keys.
6. I poured a large 8 molar urea gel and had it leak all over the counter.
7. I used the wrong layer of a biphasic reagent
Despite this, I:
8. have not yet done anything wretched to my experiments that hasn't been recoverable (fixed leak and topped off gel, which ended up without bubbles yay!)
9. Seem to have set up the gel *running* apparatus correctly, the first time, for the first time.
10. Made huge, huge quantities of the stuff I've been prepping for two days.
ETA: I just spilled liquid all over my shoe. I like these shoes, too. I think it was only water, though. At worst it was a little buffer.
Okay, but here's the upside to this day:
synecdochic and
ivorygates took prompts for comment fic and wrote some amazing stuff. AMAZING. There is a Cam/Teal'c there that I have open and will read really soon, I don't care if I'm at work. But IvoryGates not only wrote a Jack/Daniel that is amazingly accurate in the hitting of Every Single Angsty Jack/Daniel button, but also points out that JACK O'NEILL OWNS A KAYAK.
My love knows no bounds, Jack. Single Vertical Line, Man. Single. Vertical. Line.
