Lifting for the Stressed at lifting_heavy_things. I'd promised a post like that some time ago, and finally got around to sorting out the links!

Now, if you'll excuse me, it's a lovely cold day and I think I can get a last trip out on my kayak before storing it for the winter (and getting that stack of exams graded, but let us not speak of the exams...)

Apropos of nothing: I just chopped some chilis for a soup that were apparently so pungent that the spice from my fingertips stung my nose through a Kleenex! I think I just burned all my nose hairs off, wow.

Ouch. My specialty is forgetting to turn the extractor fan on, accidentally burning chilies, and filling my kitchen with chili vapours.
