I often thought about the scene in... oh, the one where Sam gets shot and Vala is up with Tomin and she thinks the village might have been destroyed? Then the village reappears and there's *Teal'c*; Vala runs and jumps into his arms and he's just so chill about it and happy to hold her for a while. That encapsulates their relationship, I think. Every expression he gives her is a smile, absolutely. Makes Continuum just *amazing*. Such an amazing shared back experience that it makes their current personality differences almost irrelevant--there is respect and admiration that no one else can comprehend, I think.
