I have gone and read it now! And that is a very cool bit of backstory, interesting and believable. And it's Bra'tac! Aww, man, now I really want more Bra'tac fic. :)
(And, yep, I've just finished S6. And my fanfic reading has been very spotty, even with all the great non-spoilery recs people have given me.)
