update: Whoever said California's weather never changes LIED.

In the Flesh and In the Clod from [livejournal.com profile] troyswann, SG, team, H/C. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Oh, team.

The Thought That Counts by kassrachel, SGA McKay/Sheppard. Planet of the telepaths is always entertaining when you have guys who can repress the way Rodney and John can repress (or be oblivious, as in Rodney's case.)

Just Like Us by [livejournal.com profile] debra_tabor McKay/Sheppard and Lorne/Zelenka. Competitive and funny.

Them Downtown Boys Sure Talk Gritty Firefly/SPN; Kaylee/Dean; adult by [livejournal.com profile] musesfool. Oh, so sweet. And oddly lonely feeling at the same time, but wonderful expectation and connection.

Triplicate recs:

Three from [livejournal.com profile] abyssinia4077: Undertow (Fabulous Sam, fabulous team, H/C, S2) Weep Not For the Past (Daniel and Bra'tac, tag for S8's Threads), Journey of a Thousand Years (Sam, Bra'tac, post-series.)

Three from [livejournal.com profile] cofax7: Ficlet: Sam/Daniel, post-apocalyptic (post S9 apocaficlet) Teal'c, and a bunch of other hookups (post S9, joyful) Five Times Cameron Surpised SG-1 (S9-S10, gen, ouchy, that last one.)

Porn battle:

An SGA/House crossover (backstory) Purple, Crossover, House MD/Stargate Atlantis, House/John Sheppard, haze by [livejournal.com profile] deelaundry

Slip Up, John Sheppard/Cameron Mitchell, captivate, flight, domesticity, mess hall by [livejournal.com profile] selfinduced

Rerec-ing:

Mnemophobia by [livejournal.com profile] tripoli8, Daniel, decension fic of awesome angst, team, gen, SG-1, S7.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] tripoli8's Everything is Alright (my title, because without which, I forget I've read it.) Elegant, angsty Jack/Daniel Abyss AU fic. SG-1, slash, S6, goes AU in S5 somewhere.

All Non-white Things Aren't Swans by [livejournal.com profile] mazily, McKay/Sheppard, v. good Rodney voice, SGA.

I Have a Soft Spot For (and Cannot be Rational About):

His Dark Materials crossovers, in this case, with Supernatural. AU from [livejournal.com profile] kellifer_fic: A Heartbeat At My Feet. Amazing, smart Daemon conceptual verse for Sam and Dean (and John and Bobby.)

Have you read the His Dark Materials crossover with SPN that Oxoniensis wrote? I highly recommend if you like that sort of thing!

Also, HI.

Thank you, kind reccer!

Also, major props for re-reccing Mnemophobia, which is one of my all-time favorite SG-1 stories. So. Awesome.

HIYA!

Thank you! Kind ficlet writer!

There seems to be a trend of revisiting stories I love... I see no bad here, though sometimes I'm embarrassed about how much I've forgotten I've read.

It's really a kick-ass story, though, isn't it? Arjun is so sympathetic, really, and a brilliant derived-OC. Poor schmuck.

Wow, thanks for the recs! Also, thanks for pointing out that link, because my site's been down for almost a year and I had no idea that story was even online still. (Now I'm really confused. But thanks!)

I actually recced it (where it = Mnemophobia) at [livejournal.com profile] stargateficrec earlier this week because it's such a fantastic story, so I want to thank you for leaving it up, even if it was on accident...

(and, out of somewhat selfish curiosity, since I've loved the fic of yours I've read, is there any central place for your Stargate fic?)

It's not that California's weather *never* changes...it just doesn't get the fun, more extreme variations you get elsewhere. If your head is a barometer, that's sadly unhelpful.

Thank you so much for the recs (and for all the pointers to things I haven't read!). So glad the Sam in "Undertow" worked for you - there was...a lot of grief in trying to get her right there.

Hope the weather starts treating you better (from what I remember, around now is probably the worst - rainy season and all)

Oh, gosh, thanks! Uh, the short answer is yes, there used to be, and then my computer died and I switched to a Mac and I've honestly never figured out what the hell I'm doing wrong, but my site has never resurrected itself. I keep thinking I've got it, and then lo, more fail.

Oh, I *thought* I might've got it from stargateficrec! Hee... it all comes around, man.

Good rec, though, excellent choice!

Aw, man, the issues with the technology age. Hope it resolves with minimal effort, though it sounds like you may be past that point.

It's not temperature variations that matter, it's *pressure*. AND it's been the worst season ever since about October. We are not amused, California.

But I'm surviving *daft, drugged up hand gesture-of-ambiguity*

Thank you so much for the recs, obviously! I did enjoy Sam in Undertow, although all I could remember when typing the rec was that you weren't pleased with the title. *g*

I mean, this happened in March, so I feel like at a certain point I have to stop blaming technology and start blaming, I don't know, the public school system. Or maybe all the beer I drank in college.

Right. But pressure changes usually come from fronts which usually change temperature so....bleh. I hope California treats you better soon! (oddly, I actually had fewer headaches than usual when I was there, but humidity is my biggest weather trigger)

I did enjoy Sam in Undertow, although all I could remember when typing the rec was that you weren't pleased with the title. *g*

:P I have a thing about rarely liking my own titles, and really not liking one word titles for my own stories (and I wanted something about being lost in tides and currents and everything spinning around and stranding and holding together and pulling in directions and somehow floating to safety anyway and I couldn't find the right words to give the title that *feel* (darn non-word-thinking brain))

It was fun writing a Sam trying to stay strong while very out of her element and, well, somewhat her reality. (and the whole time I kept apologizing to the team, and mostly to Sam and Daniel, for how mean I was being to them...so I think at some point I paused and wrote something else where they got to have sex and be happy because I felt bad for being MEAN)
