There are all manner of really intelligent questions being asked about why Jewish people were so uniformly overlooked during
ibarw. Smart, smart people are having extremely civil and well-reasoned discussions about priviledge, invisibility, rights, intersectionality, culture vs. religion, anti-Semitism and addressing multiple issues at once.
I am not in that place right now, where I can say thinky thoughts. All I can say is: I did not notice, and I'm so sorry. I failed to see the people we were overlooking in our best intentions. I let it slide. I am sorry.
I don't know whether I can contribute in a better way to this discussion at this time, but I'm so impressed with all of you for doing it so well. This link takes you to rydra_wong's journal, where she's collecting posts and discussions, etc..
