I was fine!

I was fine last night when I made jeow and beef with broccoli for the housemates for dinner. I was fine with two glasses of (very nice) red wine.

I was fine *getting up* this morning (that's never fun). I was fine through my workout at the gym.

Now I feel rather odd; hot and cold and lightheaded and woozy.

I shall proceed for the moment on the assumption that this is, in fact, dehydration and not my boss's flu that he's been kind enough to sit right next to me for the last three days.

I HATE being sick. It's not permitted.

::hopes for the dehydration thing too::

Damned viruses anyway! I've got my fingers crossed for you.

I don't think dehydration usually hits you like a mac truck like this. I'm going to have to go home mid-day. We'll see if any of this other paperwork can't wait...

*whines*

Surely you are correct, you are a doctor. :D

Didn't you have a flu shot?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_minxy_/ 2008-01-26 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, not high risk. And I don't work in a hospital anymore, so apparently I don't, you know, get one any more.

At least I'm at home now with my Stargate commentaries and dinner in a slow cooker. Alas, I must be social later.

Ugh. Me too! (only my morning is dizzy spells with the lightheaded wooziness rather than hot and coldness)

We need Teal'c to make us tea and tuck us in and tell us stories!

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_minxy_/ 2008-01-26 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
I finally tucked myself into my couch with my DVDs on 'commentary'.

...forgot the tea, though. *hrmph*

(I never thought of it before, but Teal'c would be a really good person to have around when you felt rotten, wouldn't he?)

I did the couch and DVDs without "commentary" :)

oh no! tea!

(Teal'c would be a good person to have around anytime, but, yes, I think he'd be good if you were feeling rotten. Provided you were someone he likes. I think if Apophis were feeling rotten Teal'c would still kick him)

Being there doing that. Stock up on orange juice and kleenex. *hugs*

I keep trying to get my housemates to go to the store for me, but they have other things to do apparently.

Drat them anyway. I'm not leaving the house, and that's that.

I hope you feel much better soon, you've been sick for most of the week, haven't you?

Aw, Minx... I hope you feel better soon. Drink plenty of liquids regardless.

Thanks, I'm a fan of heading off illness before it starts--we'll see if huge amounts of sleep does any good.

Awwww. *sends you virtual tea*

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_minxy_/ 2008-01-26 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
You sweetie. I forgot to make myself tea and now there's no moving from the couch. *settles in*

[identity profile] jenlev.livejournal.com 2008-01-25 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Ack, hope you're already feeling better.

It's nice to be home, and have it be the weekend, at least.

*gets favorite blanket to curl up under*

[identity profile] jenlev.livejournal.com 2008-01-26 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
It's definitely a weekend for blankets. And somehow these weekends should be longer, I'm just sayin'.

*burrows*

I think you're right about that; we should send a memo.

[identity profile] jenlev.livejournal.com 2008-01-26 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
It would go like this:

"Dear Universe, Kindly correct the horrendous mistake that inverted weeekdays and weekends. I understand it's easy to get confused when organizing things on such a large scale, but really, get it right. Weekends are five days long, weeks are two days wrong. Sincerely, Us.
