I've been wondering why no one seemed to be writing the J/D-long-distance-relationship fics,

I KNOW. This is why I had to write one: no one was writing them for me! This is why you need to write Cameron/Teal'c, because no one else is writing it for you! It's a terrible state of affairs, isn't it?
