I remember thinking, while reading Smila's Sense of Snow, that I couldn't believe the author had actually made 14 different kinds of snow interesting.
I do think space is interesting. Light, shape, air, interaction with surroundings. Weather, though? Not so much.
I liked Leonard's notion of trying to disappear as a writer, be less important than the story. Very nice idea.
