I think that a lot of my problem with this scene is that it's not clear to me that we're meant to see something else. It really does look like, as cofax7 says, a resolution that hasn't actually been earned. This is a lot of my problem with J/A in S4 as a whole, actually. I frequently get the feeling that I'm trying to be sold on it as something less irreparably dysfunctional than it (IMHO) clearly is by that point.
